I ordered an item from Hawthorne Coffee Merchant's website 2/28/09 and it never came, but owner Julie Swagerty charged my debit card twice. Once was authorized but I got nothing for it (fraud) and the second charge was unauthorized (theft). I have requested a refund repeatedly and Ms. Swagerty said she would refund me, but has not done so for 2 months. She does not return phone calls and is otherwise unresponsive. Think twice before doing any business with this company.

I love tea and this place has a wonderful selection. The owner is often behind the counter ready to help you pick what you want to take home. They have many teapots and packaged cookies form England. The pricing is good. Since I am not a coffee drinker, I will not comment on the coffee except to say the selection seems as large as the extensive tea selection.

I love this place. It has a wonderful selection of tea, tea pots, mugs, tea kettles, and other tea accessories. The coffee selection is also worth the visit.
