Don't get fooled.. Showcase music is a place where salesmen sell junk to uneducated consumers. If you want some equipment for your basement or garage, you might not get ripped off too badly. If you are a professional (or ever want to be), avoid this place.

Best place in Portland to buy Fender guitars. Everytime I go into Showcase, I feel like I'm a real valued customer by any of their employees (as I see them do the same for their other customers). They do work on the Fender guitars I've bought from them for free and do it right in front of me then and there so I can learn what they're doing. Their employees don't know everything about their products, but they are very nice and wanting to help everybody who walks in as they still do know quite a bit about what they sell. They have the BEST selection of Fender electrics in the northwest. They do have Gibsons, Gretsches, acoustics, and amps, but there are other music stores around here that have a better selection. But we all need a Fender, and this is the place to buy it.

Quite possibly the best music store ever.. This is probably the best musical instrument store on Earth! The guys behind the counter are so cool and nice. You can even take musical instrument lessions there! The best teacher is Guy Maxwell, the drum teacher. I was a former student of his and he is the best in the world! So, if you want an instrument or take lessions there, GO THERE!
