Don't eat here. Place was almost empty, but no greeting no seating. Had to go to the bar and get menus myself. Had to ask a bored waitperson to bring us water. The burgers was a dry paper-thin ground beef pattie carbonized at the edges buried between two halves of a french loaf. The Philadelphia cheese steak had the same overcooked cow and lots of bread. The fish and chips? The fish could have come straight from the freezer section at Safeway. We all thought the fries were good. No napkins. Had to grab a stack off the bar. No one who worked there seemed the least bit concerned about this. Conclusion: Go for the beer. If you must eat, order cheap because aside from the fries it'll be crap. And if you have the nerve, don't tip. I left 20%. Be hating myself for days.

Terrible customer service and worse food. I've been here a couple of times and the service just keeps getting worse. I've returned because of the Mon. jazz. However, tonight just made me want to run out of there. The bartender after twenty minutes and several instances of eye contact, told me just a minute. She was busy talking to her friends. The waitress was worse after finally ordering our food (carribean chicken and classic sandwich- absolutely terrible and greasy with no resemblane to jerk spicing as claimed) did not return for thirty minutes to take our drink order after giving us the beer list - which was mostly out of stock. I really wish they would get their act together because this place could be a great hang out - the musicians that are given the opportunity to jam together on Mon. nights are top notch all other aspects - nothing but frustration.

The Row ROCKS!!!!!!!!!. I hadn't been in Produce Row in about 5 yrs. It was one of my favorites then, but I always considered it a dive. So imagine my surprise when I walked in on a Friday night and it was a brand new bar. Holy cow! But the surprises didn't end there. I went to the bar and the bartender informs me that they now have table service, and she said it with a smile! Now if you have ever gone into The Row 5yrs ago or so, you understand how this smiling thing is amazing. My waitress must have won the best smile contest in highschool, because she rocked that grin and brought me my grey goose & tonic in 4 minutes. That night was one of the best nights ever and was topped off by one of my favorite Portland bands, Storm & The Balls, who played that night.

Produce Row = Yum!. Last night was my first time at Produce Row Cafe, and I must say that my expectations were blown out of the water. Tucked in southeast Portland among the warehouses, I was welcomed immediately as I walked in the door by smiling faces not only from the staff, but the other customers as well. It's no wonder everyone was smiling...the amount of microbrews on tap alone would make all the locals mouths water. Our service was off the hook...the waitress was fun, friendly, and fast, (not to mention cute) and the grub was far beyond "bar food." I had the most luscious beet salad and eggplant sandwich (I'm vegetarian & they had plenty to offer) and my boyfriend groaned in delight over his burger & fries. Great atmosphore, heated outdoor patio, live music, full bar, yummy food, and kick ass people. You're damn right I'm going back.

A great place. Crossroads of Portland. You might be rubbing elbows with a judge or a plumber or an artist. All roads lead to

"The Row" and have for more than 20 years. Monday night jazz jams are not to be missed.

produce rude!. After enjoying a couple beers on the patio with my parents from out of town,I was feeling good about our choice of this charming pub.The beer selection was good,and our server was sweet and helpfull. Then when it came time to pay our tab we payed up and told our server no change was needed.A few minutes later a different server came back to our table and asked if the service was ok and then muttered under her breath that "the compensation was inadequate". I was shocked and insulted and to see the look on my Fathers face ,who happens to be one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, was hearbreaking. This rude server not only ruined our night but also ruined any chance of us ever coming back to "produce "rude!"

Great Experience. Visited on a Sunday and listened to some swingin' taped music while enjoying a Deluxe Burger with mozzarella cheese, canadian bacon, onions and tomato. Felt like I had stepped back into the 1940's.

Row, Row, Row me away from this place.... My eggplant Parmesan sandwich arrived with one lonely, greasy slice of eggplant on each half roll. It was accompanied by a minscule amount of limp onions and bell peppers and there was no cheese to be found...it was MIA. This set me back almost $6 bucks, and probably cost them about 90 cents to make. My hubby's chili burger plate appeared to be a very good value. But after cutting into it, we realized that the majority of it was bread with very little "burger" to it. The chili reminded me of food I'd eaten in Mexico - hot, bland and tasteless. The fries were crisp, probably the best part of our meal. We knew a friend there who waited on us so I can't really speak of the quality of service in general. We'd never go back though - at least not for the food anyway.

Sandwiches and beer don't get better. Settle in with a pitcher of your favorite lager, one of their fabulous sandwiches and a few of your friends and I can almost assure you of a good time. There are few things better in Portland than a beer on the deck at Produce Row in the summer.

Hidden gem. I love the obscure industrial location. You'd never guess that the place has one of the best beer-drinkin' decks in town. Been going here for years, and it's gotten more crowded recently--I guess it's no longer a secret. Great place to meet friends and have a good sandwich or burger (no fries, though) and some pitchers of beer. Best when the sun's shining!
