I really want to like this place, but with the exception of one waitress who has been there forever, I've had too many encounters with rude wait staff. The food is ok, but nothing to write home about. Maybe the appeal is the alcoholic beverage.

I can't believe all the negative reviews I've been reading about the Cricket. My boyfriend and I love this place. The food is fresh tasting and delicious. When my family came to visit I took them here and they also loved it.The eggs florentine is my favorite with a side of veg sausage. The eggs are always perfectly poached. The restaurant is small so expect a wait on the weekends. The service has been great everytime but the food is why I keep going back. Definitely give this Portland gem a try.
Pros: delicious NW cuisine, best breakfasts
Cons: long waits on weekends
