Faux Pho. How to stay this review ?

Maybe by saying that this is not authentic Vietnamese PHO or it's pure Americano`PHO , made up for the taste of blue collar lunch eaters , who plague this ?pho? establishment during their break time.

It will be unjust for me to say that this pho place is yuppie in nature.

So to give you ?readers digest? , this is not authentic pho and if you are food aficionado then you might be disappointed in taste.

Surprisingly good. My date and I had lunch there yesterday and were quite impressed by this little restaurant on MLK. Our appetizers included coconut gulf prawns (which were excellent) and green papaya salad. The salad was great - the texture and spice level was perfect, and for $6 the quantity was generous. My date had a beef pho which he enjoyed and I had the satay with rice. It wasn't quite what I expected, it did not seem to have the traditional peanut satay sauce, it tasted more like curry, but on it's own merit, was excellent. We got all that food, enough for dinner that night for only $23. It was a great value, good service, and great food. We will definitely be going again.

A Must Try for Pho Lovers. Having spent a month in Portland for business, this Vietnamese bistro became my most frequented restaurant in town. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with a nice little patio with deck heaters for the chillier nights. The service was very prompt and friendly, but what kept me coming back and back and back was the Pho. I have tried Pho in numerous restaurants in cities all over the West, and I am here to say that this is by far and away the best that I have ever tasted. The depth of the flavor in the broth is simply amazing. The quality of food doesn't punish your wallet either, with the bill being less than $10 with a drink and tip. The only regret I have is that I only had a month to enjoy it, and I was unable to get myself to venture away from the Pho and try any of the other items on the menu.
