In Short – The women who run this nonprofit shop take great pride in the fact that they are surviving in the era of megastores. The store offers as many author parties as can be arranged, free discussions of women's issues and sponsorship of a variety of reading groups. Although they stock a vast catalog of titles by and about women, they also sell T-shirts and other female-oriented gift items and rent videos dealing with timely women's topics.
