Presents Of Mind

Presents of Mind is quite a Gem. Whenever I am in need of the perfect gift, or a nice little treat for myself that no one else has, I always swing by Presents of Mind. They always seem to have the perfect thing. I love that they carry so many local artists too.

I'm in Lust with this store!. I could literally spend hours in this store! Whenever I'm in Portland it's one of my first stops. You could find a gift for anyone on your list including the very hard to shop for because the selection is so amazing. Oh & you'd be hardpressed to find a more helpful staff! Sinnyv - welcome to the modern computer age! yes, many goods and services are available on the internet at cheaper cost than at the stores....Perhaps your shopping preferences are more in line with Walmart? Private internet business does not have to pay as much for electricity, for health insurance, decent wages, sick leave, employee Christmas parties or anything else...I mean, are you not a price whore? Presents of Mind is an awesome place to shop, with great people and great item selection. Their employees have always been more than courteous and helpful . You say they "almost refused to take it back"....but, they did take it back even though it was missing a tag and not in the condition they sold it....so who's really at fault? If you have no appreciation for a local business that offers a nice community setting while trying to make fair and reasonable profit you don't deserve to walk through the door in the first place. Awesome store. Awesome representation of all things Portland. If you need a gift, a card, a doo-hicky, something cute to wear, and so much more, then get thee self into Presents of Mind!! The owner has amazing taste and has done a fabulous job of selecting products that are cute, stylish, useful, different, and fun. If you find yourself wandering Hawthorne it's worth a stop just to look around. But be careful, it's hard to leave without buying something...if you're anything like me it's hard to leave without buying too much! :)

The staff have always been incredibly friendly, the owner is an absolute gem, and the store is a place I could get lost in for hours. If I had to point someone to one store that represented Portland the best, this would be it.
