Presents of Mind is quite a Gem. Whenever I am in need of the perfect gift, or a nice little treat for myself that no one else has, I always swing by Presents of Mind. They always seem to have the perfect thing. I love that they carry so many local artists too.

I have moved on from Portland, but always stop by when I'm in town. Their friendly helpful staff are always great when you need a second opinion too. Definitely worth a stop by if your in the area

I'm in Lust with this store!. I could literally spend hours in this store! Whenever I'm in Portland it's one of my first stops. You could find a gift for anyone on your list including the very hard to shop for because the selection is so amazing. Oh & you'd be hardpressed to find a more helpful staff! I also love how they support local vendors.

Sinnyv - welcome to the modern computer age! yes, many goods and services are available on the internet at cheaper cost than at the stores....Perhaps your shopping preferences are more in line with Walmart? Private internet business does not have to pay as much for electricity, for health insurance, decent wages, sick leave, employee Christmas parties or anything else...I mean, are you not a price whore? Presents of Mind is an awesome place to shop, with great people and great item selection. Their employees have always been more than courteous and helpful . You say they "almost refused to take it back"....but, they did take it back even though it was missing a tag and not in the condition they sold it....so who's really at fault? If you have no appreciation for a local business that offers a nice community setting while trying to make fair and reasonable profit you don't deserve to walk through the door in the first place. Presents of Mind is a top notch local retailer.

Awesome store. Awesome representation of all things Portland. If you need a gift, a card, a doo-hicky, something cute to wear, and so much more, then get thee self into Presents of Mind!!

The owner has amazing taste and has done a fabulous job of selecting products that are cute, stylish, useful, different, and fun. If you find yourself wandering Hawthorne it's worth a stop just to look around. But be careful, it's hard to leave without buying something...if you're anything like me it's hard to leave without buying too much! :)

The staff have always been incredibly friendly, the owner is an absolute gem, and the store is a place I could get lost in for hours. If I had to point someone to one store that represented Portland the best, this would be it.

Awesome store. Presents of Mind is one of the most awesome stores in Portland! The managers are kind and wonderful people who care deeply about their customers and always work hard to provide great service and the most amazing, unique, top quality products. They also support lots of local artisans which is very important for Portland's economy. Love this store!

Manager/Owner is a JERK!!!!!!!!!!!. I used to love this store and spent hundreds of dollars there including buying a $250. petunia pickle bottom diaper bag. Recently I bought a dress for $90 and went to look up about the brand and discovered the same was available for $60 on the maker's website. I went to return the dress to the store the next day but couldn't find the hand-written store tag. They almost refused to take it back based on that and were all offended when I told them the reason for the return. I didn't appreciate being treated like dirt and will avoid ever spending money there again. If they have something you like look it up on the internet and get it for a better price!!!!

Excellent Gift Store. I love that Presents of Mind has so many locally and USA made gifts. When the holidays come around, I get excited about sharing my "guilt-free" stuff from here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Someone took the time to help me weed through all of the good stuff to find extra special gifts for my loved ones.

By Far the BEST retail store in Portland!. How I love thee! When I need a special card or a gift for baby or friend this is where I go. The store always provides great ideas and they constantly mix it up! Staff is helpful and cheerful despite being on Hawthorne(hipster attitudeville). I go back again and again and always make sure to tell my friends about it. If you haven't been there, check it out! You'll love it too!

The most helpful and friendly staff in Portland. I have been a patron at Presents of Mind since the mid-90s. I have always been able to find just the right gift for whomever I was shopping. Their selection of fun, unique, and beautiful gifts is unparalleled. What I love most about Presents of Mind, however, is the staff. You will not find a collection of people anywhere more excited about the place they work. With extensive and helpful product knowledge and all around awesome attitudes, it is the employees at this one-of-a-kind store that keep me coming back for more.

The best little shop on Hawthorne. I have lived in the neighborhood for 17 years and this little shop keeps getting better and better. The cards, gifts, clothing and stationary are a staple for me. Where else can you find items that are not "chain" material and works so hard to have lot's of local art? Presents of Mind!
