A good place to find kawaii randomness!. Kawaii seems to be quite hard to find in Portland, but Greg's carries a variety of deco tapes, and kawaii whimsies that are worth the trip.

campy and comfortable. Greg's is one of the local gems around Portland. It's been a favorite of mine for several years now and I am always finding refreshing and up to date products. Shopping at Greg's is casual and easy. Not being accosted by commission-craved sales people, being able to bring my dogs in (and given treats!), and not being forced to listen to XMradio while shopping is all I could want from a much needed stroll down laid-back Hawthorne. Greg's is both classic and cutting edge in their products, they cater to the most specific and the most basic gifting needs I might have, and if nothing else, they're always good for a laugh. Finally, I am astounded by the availability of so much local garb. I don't always plan far enough ahead to make it to the once a month crafty wonderland, and first Thursday is a little soggier than I would like most months, but at Greg's I'm able to find Robot Candy, Queen Bee, Tiny Meat and great local art and photography. Five stars to Greg's in both products and shopping experience.

Greg's is just not the same. Hoping to find something very nice and locally made for a friend's birthday, I stopped in at Greg's. I used to love this shop but it's sure gone down hill lately. The staff is rude and seems put out by having to answer simple questions. The woman behind the counter was on the phone and couldn't seem to tear herself away for long enough to assist me. The store seems to be leaning toward an import market rather than the hip gift shop it used to be. I left and found a lovely gift at a nearby shop. Sorry to say that I won't be back.

Best gift store in Portland!. I love this place. Out of all the little shops I have been to in Portland, it is by far the most fun to go to. The neighborhood is really fun to walk around in, so it's really fun to make a whole day of it. I like this store because it still has the charm of a small business, but has good prices and great aesthetics. It's also a great place to go if you want to decorate your house. The manager is really sweet, and helpful.

Domo kun. To keep this short... Greg's is an adorable shop. The staff is very personable and very friendly. Often you will find yourself crowded with 15 other people in a small confined area but the staff still tries their best to assist you if you need help. It's a great shop to purchase gifts for yourself and for others.
