Hi all!! We are not closed as says citysearch. We have no idea why they say this but not true. Sorry for any confusion and look forward to seeing you soon
Awesome work, great people and GREAT service.
No doubt about it, there is a LOT of fantastic tattoo talent in Portland, and the lineup of artists at Infinity Tattoo is the top of the heap. I picked Inifinity based solely off of the artists' portfolios, everyone there is amazing at what they do and I was pleased to discover that they're awesome people to boot. I spent 20 hours in a chair with Paul working his magic on my arm, and not only was I ecstatic with the final product but was treated like a highly valued customer...Jessica was even nice enough to get me lunch. These guys kick ass, well worth every penny I spent there and I'll be going back to Infinity for my next piece.
If you're thinking about some serious (or not so serious) ink, definitely stop into Infinity Tattoo, you won't be disappointed.
0 STARS. Don't waste your time, they will. Bad work, bad time managment, bad attitudes and bad artists. So many skilled artist in Portland, this place should take some pointers.
Excellent service and beautiful work!.
Finally, at nearly 40 and married with 2 kids, I have decided to get tattooed. Planning on sleeving both arms, actually.
After visiting several local shops over the past year, I paid a visit to Infinity based on friends' recommendations as well as website portfolios. Glad I made the right choice! I will definitely be going back to Rich at Infinity for all of my future work.
Great atmosphere, cool people, and excellent work. It's only been 3 days since Rich started my first sleeve, but, I've already referred several friends and coworkers who are amazed at the quality of his work.
You have to experience the place in person to fully understand it. Incredible artists, always busy and an awesome secretary who is never just sitting at the desk (hence the unanswered phone calls at times, but rarely).
I have had a half sleeve by Amanda, half a leg (knee hight sock?) by Amanda and a full sleeve by Paul. I love all three. Always entertained while I am there for many hours, always treated great and can't complain about the fun conversations that venture between everyone in the studio.
I have never been dissatisfied, always walk out a happy camper. I recommend Infinity to everyone and often get stopped and asked where I get my work done. Often, is actually an understatement. If you haven't checked them out, your missing out.
You can't put a price on an amazing piece of art on your body. You can't put a time limit on it either. Worth the money, worth the wait. Worth every hour I have spent in there.
And just like every person in this world, we all have our bad days, just remember that if you had one short encounter that threw you off because this place is nothing but great.
I've been going there for 10 years! Love it!.
I've been going to Infinity Tattoo for 10 years and 16 pieces. I've developed a great relationship with everyone who works there, or has worked there over the years. I was originally referred to Infinity by Black Hole body piercing in 1999. I had just turned 18 and was on my search for the perfect tattoo shop. The old infinity shop on Burnside was the best place to start. Paul and Amanda were as friendly could be, and Paul helped me craft my first couple pieces to perfection.
I've watched the shop move from Burnside, to their home studio, and now to the new and welcoming spot on Lombard. Every time I walk in there I'm greeted by everyone, and have never felt uncomfortable, or unwelcomed. Paul Zenk has always been able to translate my sometimes odd ideas into gorgeous pieces of tattoo art.
I will definitely continue to get my art done at Infinity - in fact, I've had 3 pieces done there in the last few months, and I'm heading there again in a couple weeks.
I couldn't ask for anything more from a tattoo shop.
Before getting my tattoo work, I shopped around the Vancouver and Portland area. Based on cleanliness, friendliness, the work of the artists in their portfolios, and my consult with Rich, I chose Infinity. I now have more than 40 hours in tattoo time at this establishment -- Rich has done a large rib piece, a day of the dead skull, and now we are finishing a full sleeve. Having spent this much time in their shop, I can tell you I have had the opportunity to see each artist work with many customers. I have seen their shop manager and owners interact with customers on the phone and in person. I haven't seen a more professional staff in any service-oriented establishment. Whether someone is coming in for a stamp-sized minimum cost tattoo, or a full back piece, every customer is treated with the same value and respect.
They are courteous, kind, accommodating, and most of all, they are fantastic artists. I love to see them look at each others' work, get feedback, advice, and praise from each other. There is a real sense of camaraderie amongst them, and it is obvious they respect each other, the customers, and the craft of tattooing. Each time I come in, the other artists are excited to see the progress on my work. They remember who I am and ask me about my life, work, etc. They are extremely personable and genuinely interested in my artwork and me as a person. I have sent several friends and family members their way, and each has been completely satisfied and they are coming back for more.
They aren't a chop shop that offers "All you can take for $200" like I've seen around town. I've read other reviews, and I am astonished. I have experienced and witnessed only the most professional treatment of customers and the most dedicated approach to art in this shop. Customers who expect to walk into a shop, sit down, and have ink within minutes are obviously not experienced enough to know that getting a tattoo is a process that takes time. Artists must check artwork size and scale, complete transfers, apply the transfer, check for placement, and set up their workstations. This can take up to an hour. If you are in a hurry to get a tattoo, there are shops who offer drive-thru services, I am sure, but you will not be satisfied with the result. You won't get a "hurry up" approach at Infinity. And, if an artist as good as these is repairing a botched tattoo from another artist, they can only work with what is already there. I've seen some of the work that they have done to repair or touch up other bad work and it is top notch. Poor reviews of this shop must be based on inexperience or naivete about what to expect with the tattoo experience.
Their shop is clean, it is in a great location, offers free parking, and a friendly, courteous staff. Most importantly, you will walk away from Infinity with a piece of art that you can be proud of and satisfied with for the rest of your life.
Beware!. This past summer, I had an old tattoo refreshed and added to. I had heard that Amanda was great, and had seen good work by her. But after she was done with mine, it was lopsided, cartoonish, and garish. She didn't listen to what I wanted or seem to care at all. It will take three surgical excisions by a plastic surgeon, but it is well worth the thousands of dollars to get rid of the ugly thing. So beware; prices are reasonable, but you get what you pay for - a really bad tattoo.
get ink somewhere else. Customer service... this dose not exist at this shop. Poorly managed. Lost my business for sure.
greatness. After seeing Alices work on a friend I knew she was the one we wanted. We had a initial consult and knew we made the right choice. This shop is amazing...beautiful,clean and you are really in the presence of true artist. There is a definite vibe you get when you are surrounded by people who are not only the best of the best but love what they are doing. We were there 6 hours and got to see some amazing pieces.Hear some great music and be privilege to a little glimpse of the art of tattoo. Our pieces are treasures. We can hardly wait for our next appointment. We did wait 8 months to get in..was it wroth it.? Hell yes. I felt the prices were beyond fair . My only advise would be... come in with an idea , have an open mind ,and let these people show you their magic.
