If your tattoo is more than just the tat - meaning you expect to be treated courteously, your phone calls returned and art done BEFORE you get there (saving an hour or more of just sitting there....), then this is NOT the place. Honestly, I think there a little to big for their britches. And completely unwelcoming. Gotta think there are places that would appreciate the business...
Best Tattoo Shop I've Been To!. I have 6 tattoos I've gotten from 4 shops in the last 8 years and Infinity was by far my favorite!! I felt comfortable and the staff was not snooty or jaded as you find in a lot of tattoo and piercing places today. Mikal Gilmore is AMAZING! She has the softest touch and my tattoo is more beautiful than I could ever imagine!!! She made me comfortable, let me take my time looking at placement, made me laugh, very professional and clean- Everything you WANT from an amazing tattoo artist. I think she turned me into a 1 artist kinda gal as I will go to her for all my work in the future!!
I love my tattoo..
I went to Infinity a few months back to get my first tattoo, and had an excellent experience. Mikal is an incredibly friendly and talented artist. After only emailing with her she created a custom tattoo that was exactly how I pictured it. I was also really nervous, and she was very patient and answered every question I had. The tattoo turned out just as I envisioned it.
I plan to go back to infinity for my second tattoo as soon as I have the extra money for it. I have also and will continue to recommend Infinity to anyone who is thinking about getting a tattoo.
The only downside I can see, it is a bit pricey. Although, I do think it is worth the great experience I had there.
Incredible tattoo experience!. I have nothing but very positive things to say about my tattoo experience at Infinity. I dealt with Tyler Adams there, and have absolutely no hesitation in referring anyone and everyone to him for tattoos in the future. He was easy to work with (revised the design several times based on both his ideas and mine), did fantastic work (many, many compliments on my tattoo), was an engaging and interesting conversationalist, and was scrupulously honest about charging me. Again, can't recommend him highly enough. If nothing else, I'll be sending my brother-in-law to see him about getting an old tattoo covered up -- how's that for an endorsement?
Mikal Is Amazing!!!. recently had a quarter sleeve done at Infinity Tattoo by Mikal . I choose to keep it black and grey and Mikal did the most amazing shading I have ever seen. Not only did the tattoo turn out great but Mikal is easy going and very professional. One of the first things she told me is that on tattoo day, she will be in the shop and be ready to work. She said she will come in with a clear head, not hung over and ready to work I couldn?t say enough good things about Mikal or recommend her any higher. If you are interested in getting some work done, check her out. You won?t be disappointed.
Seriously... the best tattoo shop in town.. I have gotten an infinite amount of compliments on my tattoos. I swear, these people are just that good. I got mine done by both Paul and Amanda, and my next is probably going to be with Alice. I just love them all! Each artist has an incredible style, and all of them are f-ing amazing with color and linework. Delicate lines, tiny details, beautiful shading, and awesome color. I can't thank them enough for adorning my body with such beautiful artwork! What's up with that one angry review down there? These people are so friendly it hurts. Both times I've been in there, I've been charged under the quoted price. I love this place.
Gifted, Professional, and Clean: Highly recommended. I have had all three of my tattoos done by Traci, who is gifted, professional, attentive, and kind. Each tattoo is beautiful and precise. The shop is clean with an open and relaxed atmosphere. The other artists present were also friendly and professional. The drive is a little ways out there, but well worth it. I don't have another tattoo experience to compare mine too, and don't care to as I plan to continue going to infinity.
Best tattoos in Portland.
Infinity is the best place to get a tattoo in Portland. I spent about 14 hours here over three days getting my last tattoo. This gave me an opportunity to see how professional and friendly all of the artists are, and how clean the shop is. I saw a lot of customers come and go while I was in the chair and everyone was treated courteously and left happy. In addition, nobody was kept waiting for their appointment, which happens a lot at other shops.
If you are looking to have ink permanently etched into your skin, do your homework. Don't be misled by bogus negative reviews. Check out artists' portfolios; if you see work you like, ask the person where they got it. Have a consultation and talk with the artist before you get the work done. I had to wait a while for my appointment with Alice Kendall because she was booked for several months - another sign of a good artist and a good shop. I am thrilled with the half sleeve I got from Alice - I think it's amazing and so does everybody else who's seen it. Alice worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.
I saw a lot of incredible work being done while I was at the shop. All of Infinity's artists are extremely talented. My husband has two tattoos from Paul and I have several friends who also have gotten work done there. Right now the shop is decorated with artwork by all of the artists - paintings, mixed media and even dolls. Check it out and you'll see how amazingly creative these people are. You will be treated with respect and you will love your ink. Oh yeah, and there's always cool music on the iPod!
aviod. this shop hates people they were rude and my tattoo was too expensive for the poor quality I hate my tattoo the line work is so bad and the shading is blotchy.. do your self a favour avoid this place my wrist looks like a dog chewed it!
Ms. Mikki Rocks!. I spent a lot of time researching online trying to find the right artist to do my half-sleeve. When I came across Ms. Mikki's work, I knew she was the one! When I went in for my consult, Mikki really helped me put my ideas together and the drawing she came up with was absolutely perfect. The vibe in the shop is so comfortable and easy going, it was actually fun being under the needle for 6 hours! Mikki made sure I was comfortable the entire time; and I was amazed at how much work she got done in that amount of time. I couldn't be happier with the end result, and am proud to wear Mikki's art. I recieve so many compliments on my piece, and happily reccomend Ms. Mikki and the rest of the Infinity crew to anyone who asks!
