I have enjoyed Thai Thai for many years (not so much during Sam's hiatus to Thailand) but now HE'S BACK!!! & the food is as great as ever! New dishes are always wonderful! I try to eat there once a week. The finest "Som Tum" I've ever enjoyed... ever!

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food is good, but the some of the curries seem to be lacking in flavor and spice. THe prices are a little high, but the service is great. I've also had perfectly delicious meals here, where everything was flavorful and exactly right.

This is still my favorite Thai restaurant in Portland. The dishes arrive hot and promptly, the red curry sauce is the most flavorful I've ever had, and the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. A great place for a romantic night out . The catfish has a delicious sauce and is prepared perfectly light and fresh. I also recommend the Gai Kua noodles for a mild dish that is both savory and mildly sweet. All my vegetarian friends swear by the asparagus dish that features deep fried asparagus. In fact, this is a fantastic place for vegetarians, there are so many dishes to choose from. The food is fresh and the portions are generous. They have an extensive menu, and takeout is convenient here. The service is gracious and they always remember regular customers. I like the fact that, unlike some restaurants, there is more emphasis on the food than on the alcohol. This is also a good place for groups to dine together as there is plenty of room and the service is efficient. If you are new to Portland, this is the place for Thai food. I love it here!
