Thai Thai is authentic & tasty thai food. I have enjoyed Thai Thai for many years (not so much during Sam's hiatus to Thailand) but now HE'S BACK!!! & the food is as great as ever! New dishes are always wonderful!

I try to eat there once a week.

The finest "Som Tum" I've ever enjoyed... ever!

Still my favorite Thai food in Portland. This is still my favorite Thai restaurant in Portland. The dishes arrive hot and promptly, the red curry sauce is the most flavorful I've ever had, and the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. A great place for a romantic night out . The catfish has a delicious sauce and is prepared perfectly light and fresh. I also recommend the Gai Kua noodles for a mild dish that is both savory and mildly sweet. All my vegetarian friends swear by the asparagus dish that features deep fried asparagus. In fact, this is a fantastic place for vegetarians, there are so many dishes to choose from.

The food is fresh and the portions are generous. They have an extensive menu, and takeout is convenient here. The service is gracious and they always remember regular customers. I like the fact that, unlike some restaurants, there is more emphasis on the food than on the alcohol. This is also a good place for groups to dine together as there is plenty of room and the service is efficient. If you are new to Portland, this is the place for Thai food. I love it here!

My Thai Thai brings all the boys to the yard.... Healthy dose of fried tofu for the money+++ A Thursday night, just a few couples lost in each others eyes while eating. The ornamental string lights come on in the eve, quite nice. Two ate well for under $20. A few Asian import beers, but plan to get drinks elsewhere... Service was perfect, aware but not chatty or interrupting...

Loved it!

Disappointing downturn. I live nearby and have tried Thai Thai numerous times over the years when I want Thai within easy walking. It used to be good but in the last 2-3 years has gone slowly down to what is now a major disappointment. I keep hoping for a resurgence to its former self but I've given up and won't go back. Sauces are oddly watery and poorly executed. Meat and vegetables don't taste fresh nor distinctive and there is little to redeem the poor quality.

Excellent food. I ate here twice when i lived in portland and it is really authentic Thai food. Now I am in Chciago and I cannot find a Thai restaurant as good as this one. I think this place has really good entrees and was very impressed

Perfect. Simply perfect.. Somebody said to me the other day, "You know, in Portland, Thai is the new Chinese." This struck me as a completely idiotic thing to say. I guess he meant that there are more Thai restaurants in our town than Chinese ones -- and I don't even know whether that's true. But yes, whatever the case may be, there are in fact an enormous number of Thai restaurants in Portland, and it's easy to keep trying new ones, since new ones (or new locations of old ones, like Sweet Basil and Thai Orchid) seem to open weekly. However! Do not forget about perfect, small, slightly-divey, charming, delicious family neighborhood spots like Thai Thai. Besides having the best name of any restaurant, Thai or otherwise, in America, Thai Thai also serves superior Thai food. Pull up a vinyl seat, order a Singha, and sample a few different dishes family style.
