Absolutely the Best Kids Haircuts.
I took my son to Tammy for his first haircut. All I could tell her was that I wanted it to be a "traditional" little boy cut. She knew exactly what I meant and gave him the short, super adorable cut he still gets today at 6. We make the drive from Vancouver just for Tammy and it is so worth it. Just one time we got a Supercut haircut across the street and regretted it until it was grown out enough for Tammy to fix. I love that my son has a relationship with Tammy... she's watched him grow from a baby. It sounds dorky but few kids nowdays will have great memories of their early haircuts. My little guy will! :)
Great haircuts, hard to get callback.
After awful cuts and lots of attitude at Great Clips and other discount haircut places we finally tried Kuts for Kids 2 years ago. My son enjoys the Tom and Jerrys videos. He gets quality haircuts and looks forward to the experience. I don't mind the homey atmosphere or the price. My only complaint has been it's very hard to get a call back for an appointment. This problem just started about 6 months ago.
Good service, great staff.
I've been taking my kids here for 2 years, and have appreciated consistent, good service from the staff. They always take extra time with my girls, putting in cute braids etc. Staff has a nice, low key style of interacting with kids. My kids love coming here, and my daughter (4.5) loves "visiting Suzanne".
Great kids haircut.
This is mostly in response to the previous review that gave it 1 star and a bad review. I think this place is great. The above reviewer seemed frustrated about the appointment policy, but I think it's nice b/c then you can actually plan your day and know when you get there your child can get their haircut in a timely manner and you don't have to wait all day. She also gritisized the toys, I don't know what she was expecting. They aren't super fancy toys but they are not filthy. And if she expects fancy toys, she better be willing to pay $14 for a haircut. I have taken both of my daughters there (age 3 1/2 and 2) and have gotten adorable haircuts. I think the service and haircuts are great. I will definitetly go there again.
Trashy and iovercharged along with bad service.
I brought my son in there for a haircut after seeing a decent review from another site.
First impressions usually let you know how a place is, we decided to go in even after it didn't look so good. The paint on the outside in peeling, it's in a run-down looking house with a small sign you are just asking to miss.
We went inside, my sone went to the kids toys which looked like hand-me-downs from the Goodwill, literally. There was two women giving haircuts, no greeting upon entry. Two people waiting with their kids, one person with no kids. Very dirty place with a tiny TV for the kids to watch while getting their haircuts.
After sitting there for 20 minutes and watching two kids get done, one of the hairdressers looked at, apparently, an appointment book and asked if we had one, I said no, she said that she wouldn't be able to get my son in...
Appointments for a KIDS haircut!?!?!?! Hello!!! Anyone with a child KNOWS that you can't just make an appointment for your kids all the time for a lousy haircut, especially at a absolute DUMP!
We left, and when getting into our car, I noticed my son's hands were ABSOLUTELY disgusting BLACK from playing with the toys. It was obvious the toys had never been cleaned.
Oh yeah, the price for a kids haircut was something like $14...
