I too, like the other reviews, share
that love for good coffee, and thus far the coffee's been great! I've used their drive through over several years now... and that's when I noticed they have tanning there! I love the thought because it's one stop for me! I talked to the lady in the drive through & was quoted prices, along with given a menu of sorts stating the prices....when I came back (3 days later) I was told in a snooty sort of way that the prices changed & it is also a "tanning law" that one cannot buy 1 month unlimited because tanners can no longer go 2 days in a row now, so I must pay the full cost of their advertised monthly rate, but I can only have 15 of those tans now... makes ya go Hmmm? NONE of the other salons seem to know about this "tanning law". So, ok, I went one day & came back the very next...just to see if I'd be intercepted on like she said I would be.... News flash: I went tanning w/ not one hitch. Funny how that works...NO tanning police in sight! Only me paying twice the price than any other salon does... Now that leads to another issue...
We that tan KNOW it will take 20 minutes to go. I came in at 8:40 the other night & was told by the employee that I cannot go because that would mean he has to run up & down the stairs & clean the bed and he didn't want to have to & he wanted to go home...uh, ok....He then said I have to be there BY 8:30 to be able to go. So I come back 2 nights later, rushed out of work to make him happy & not "have" to climb the stairs...I walk in BY 8:30 & was told this time I cannot go because "uh...my system shuts down and I can't turn the bed on"...REALLY??? Who shuts everything down BEFORE the closing time??? Granted we are business owners & I get wanting to go home...BUT, I would NEVER EVER tell my customers I don't want to have to work, so can you come back? and then I close BEFORE closing, so can you get it straight & DON'T come in during business hours & ask for customer service because I don't want to have to do my job??!!! BAD customer service!! You don't run people off & expect them to want to come back! Don't waste my time because your a slacker! I was really embarrassed & VERY frustrated! The whole dealings here have been questionable & shady! The very first lady I talked to in the drive through was great, but it's been awful ever since...Oh well, Celebrity Tanning, I'm coming back! at least the owner there lives up to what he offers! I'm super disappointed!
Great Coffee, Great people and atmosphere. I have been to many coffee shops, and this one is the best so far. Great customer service, local owner for over 18 years as I heard. and i love that they have computers to use and free Wifi.
This is by far the best coffee in town!!!!!!!!!.
I don't know about the losers that did not give this place five stars, I don't think they know anything about coffee since they didn't rate it with five stars. I've been going there for almost ten years and never got a bad cup of coffee, everyone is nice and they know me by name too.
It's VERY CLEAN, quiet, comfortable chairs and free wi fi.
It's an awesome place for meeting or doing homework.
Great place. I loved the interior seemed real homey. Free Internet. Too much cream in my coffee. But other wise really nice. Especially for that part of town. I will be back!
F THIS PLACE. To start off the owner is a complet pervert. coffee tast like S*IT. Place is a mess ants all over the floor. The employees are nice except for this bleach blond girl that looks like she belongs in a strip club!!!! put some clothes on. YUCK! she is rude and gave me dirty looks. worst experience I've been throu. The seating area is dark not well lit. just a crappy place overall. EVERYONE GO TO STARBUCKS!!!!!!! OR YOU'LL HAVE THE WORST TIME EVER!
I dont see it.
I first tried Mocha Express after meeting my current boyfriend for a date there. I have always been an avid coffee lover so I assumed nothing would change from trying out another brand.
I ordered a twenty oz caramel mocha, with whip, and when I recieved my drink the cup felt light. I took a look under the lid, and their was a good inch of room that hadnt been filled, basically like the man (who must have been the owner since he wasnt wearing uniform like the other girl) was trying to put in as least of ingredients as possible. I sat down with my date and began to drink my coffee when I swallowed chunks of unmixed chocolate, and not very delightful chocolate if I must say. I tried to ignore all the cons and tried to focus my attention on other things, but I couldnt with a group of kids yelling at each other to use the offered computers and some odd language being spoken behind the counter. Overall the experience was a mess and it convinced me that Dutch Brothers, really is the best coffee in town!
P.S- Questions stired up when I noticed that all of the employees were attractive females.
Hmmmm
Best coffee in Portland Mocha Express Coffee.. Mocha Express is the best coffee shop in Portland, I use to drink starbucks coffee all the time and I was thinking no one knows how to make coffee like starbucks, but after I tried Mocha Express coffee I was very happy about the white chocolate mocha they made me, it was very tasty and I enjoyed every sip of it while I was sitting by the fire place they have, it is nice plus they have computers and free WIFI so any one can use it, and they have pastrys and sandwiches for lunch.about their customer service it is the best I'v ever seen. and I just found out it is a family business they open their first shop in 1993 and they have six coffee shop 4 in S.E Portland and 2 in milwuakie area.I highly recomened Mocha Express for any coffee lovers, they make Mochas, lattes,Shakes,Smoothies and frappes, (try caramel Frappe) ymmm.
Great coffee, cute place, fab cheese danish, must work on cust service.. This place makes great specialty drinks. I have enjoyed every drink I've purchased, but have not enjoted one little girl behind the counter. I do not think it is too much to ask that the barista fake a smile if she is physically unable to offer one up on her own. If you frequent this place, you know who I am refering. It's sad that one sourpuss can make a bad name for an entire cafe, but she's lame. And it really does affect you. What is really sad, is that the owner may never know because most people won't complain they just won't return. Smile little girl, it can't be that bad.
The mocha's here are great. The mocha's here are perfect. I wish that I lived closer to this coffee shop so I could get my drinks here all the time. They use the right amount of everything.
Best Place!. This is the best coffee shop! The people here are so nice, willing to wait on you & explain things. The prices are great & the espresso is sooo smooth! They offer scones & pastries, great place to sit & enjoy your coffee & read! Now that they accept credit cards, it is even easier to get my fix, thanks to all the hard working guys & gals at ME! You rule!
