Canned mushrooms anyone???. As a resident of Montavilla, we like to support local businesses. So, we wanted pizza one night and decided to give Stark Street Pizza a try. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! I have never paid so much for so little. The pizza could barely feed 3 people for over $26.00. The crust was stale, hard to cut and tasted like cardboard. I kept wondering if the cardboard from box was stuck to the bottom of my slice. Did they go to the local grocery store and raid their frozen food section? The toppings were far from fresh and the mushrooms were definitely canned. You can't find mushrooms that look like that in nature... these have been processed for sure!

We frequent many local pizza shops and any of them would be better than Stark Street. I'd rather drive to the coast to pick up a pie than go here again. We won't be back... ever.

Glad to be a part.. I spent many years in the Pizza Business and a happy staff always makes for a better product. Some of the

best times i had was working at Stark Street pizza. I can say with full confidence without giving anything

away that the secret is in the sauce. Its not for everyone but the people that enjoy it keep coming back.

Small lousy pizza, rude staff. If you like rude counter staff, way too little pizza for your money, a crust that tastes and feels stale, then by all means, The Stark Street Pizza company is for you. If you like staff that works well with the public, tasty pizza, and a pizza that is actually big enough for two people to eat, then avoid The Stark Street Pizza company like the plague. I know I won't be going back.

what could be greater?. I'm so glad I met owner Robbie Robinson through slow pitch softball many years ago. If not I may not have tried his pizza as soon as I did. Not only is Robbie one of this cities great sponsors of softball over generations, but his Stark Street Pizza landmark restaurant ( open since '65) has the best pizza in the area! I personally like the large thin crust pepperoni, always been good and consistent, just what you're looking for, like in a good steady ballplayer. Right Robbie? I've also coached Little League teams, and I've had team meetings for the kids and their parents in the adjacent trophy room, that always impresses kids and adults alike. Thanks Robbie for all you've done for your community over the years and for continuing to offer great pizza and ice cold brew! While there, check out the impressive trophy case, this sponsor and his food are most definitely winners all around! Keep it up for at least a few more generations Rob! ... Bimbo L.

Pretty good pizza. We met a friend here for lunch. We shared breadsticks and a pizza. I really love the thin crust with cornmeal. But it was just average tasting as far as the rest went. The breadsticks were nice and soft and there were a lot of them! Service was average as well. You order at the counter, so there's not a lot of table-side service. It was good overall, but I found a place closer to home that I like better. I would probably eat there again if I was in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

The Best for MANY Years!!. As a native Oregonian, born and raised in SE Portland, now 48 years young and living on the "west-side" for the last 30 years, I've been going to Stark St Pizza since I was old enough to know what pizza was!! In high school days it was known as Pizza Baron, but it's still the same great pizza and fun atmosphere, even after all these years!! My family comes here frequently for special events - birthdays, most notably - as well as the usual several times a month... just because!! You can't beat the pepperoni - small slices that curl up just right with the yummy juices in the little cups!! Pretty good beer selection, too!! A fun place to go, and you get good food value for your money. Keep up the good work, guys (and gals) and don't change a thing!!

Great thin crust Pizza. They make Pizza like it should be made....on corn meal and with a thin crust. Ask for the fresh mushrooms instead of canned. Micro brew selection is a bit limited, but if you like Deschutes products, its on tap.

THE LAST STRAW!. Been going there for years, but now forced to find another pizza place to spend my money. Last pizza was way overcooked which made the crust very unappetizing and ruined the enjoyment. Most of staff fooling around and what happens at the salad bar with customers is disgusting! Need to go very late since children are allowed to run all over, loud, obnoxious and families don't watch their children or keep them in line. Some of the staff at Stark Street watch and say nothing, and others are busy with each other. Where are the owners???? So sad since I loved their Nick's Special and no other pizza place serves it.
