Great lunches and service. I mainly go here for business lunches, and I'm always happy I did. This service is courteous and fast in the food and prices are great.

I'm a big fan of their meatloaf, but the pizza is also delicious. If you can drink when you go there they have a wide selection of microbrews.

Excellent Service, Atmosphere, and Food. I've been to many of the BJ's Restaurants in California and have always been impressed by the service and the food. The company prides themselves on their handcrafted beers as well as their Chicago-style deep dish pizzas. I'm not a beer connoisseur, so I can't comment much on that, but everything I've eaten at BJ's has been DELICIOUS, and the Jantzen Beach store is no exception.

The service is also superb and has been that way each time I've gone. I wanted to modify my entree salad a lot one night by taking off a lot and replacing them with other things, and when I warned our waiter that I have a complicated order, he simply smiled and got down on one knee to acknowledge that he was giving me the time to listen. I felt bad, as I could tell he was REALLY swamped with other tables surrounding ours. (I think the host gave him 4 families all at once: a lot of drink & appetizer orders to take!) And he said he was new! Kudos to the new guy.

To the other commenters of this BJ's, if you are ever unsatisfied with ANY of your food, BJ's is the kind of restaurant that will give it to you for free or, if it's a fixable fluke (i.e., undercooked pizza, rather than you simply not liking their Meat Loaf recipe), they'll remake it for you and often give it to you on the house. It's always obvious they value us.

Finally, the building itself is beautiful with a brewery theme with steel and red pipes on display throughout the restaurant, and they display their shiny brewery equipment along an entire wall of the restaurant.

I appreciate BJ's for bringing a restaurant to Jantzen Beach that epitomizes the classy family dining establishment. It's great for everyone: my wife can get a generously portioned Santa Fe Salad, I can a Full plate of Ribs, my 14 year old son can go for a signature deep-dish pizza, and my 7-year-old daughter can get the kids Grilled Cheese with smiley face french fries. And each of them is served with a smile in a beautiful restaurant with a taste: delicious.

Friendly, memorable service-But, the food.......... My husband and I have been going to BJ's @ Jantzen for years, more often when we lived in N. Portland. Now we live an hour+ away and only get in occasionally. Such was the case yesterday. We even had to go out of our way to eat there. First let me say the beer and coffee-Great! But then we get to the appetizer, the spinach and artichoke dip. The dip was good as usual, but we were playing russian roulette with the chips. Some of them were actually r.nc.d! ( Believe it or not! The site won't let me use the real word- it is concidered 'inappropriate") Try and get that taste out of your mouth! We left the chips. Then dinner was served, and it didn't fare much better. My husband's BJ's Favorite pizza was gummy and undercooked on the bottom, burnt on 1/2 of the side and just right on 1/2 of the side. I had the the roast beef sandwich and really wished I hadn't. As per an earlier reviewer...it was way past salty! The gravy also tasted burnt. We took home some rather expensive treats for the dogs. Let's just say we are unhappy enough to take the time to sign up with Citysearch just to write a review on our disappointing meal at BJ's.

Best service, food for the price, and the Micro-Brews are to die for.. I've been going to BJ's in Jantzen Beach on a fairly regular basis for the last 2 years having moved to the North Portland area. Bj's has a little bit of everything.

If you're a sports fan (Like me) and like beer (Again like me) well there may be no better wait staff, drinks, happy hours, and TV combo in Portland.

If you want a family atmosphere they have a large dining area away from the Bar that features great dishes from hot sandwiches, Pizza (I love the Buffalo Chicken Pizza myself), salads, soups, burgers, and even some more exotic dishes like Jambalaya. This place has the biggest Potatoes you will ever see and they load them with whatever you want.

The staff won my heart at the beginning I now know most of the wait staff, managers, and even the GM. You won't get better service in Portland.

I couldn't say enough about how wonderful this place is. If you haven't been you definitely won't regret it.

If you happen to be going to the bar, tell em' Luke sent you.

Good beer doesn't make up for the horrible food. Soup and salad is pretty hard to screw up, right? BJs didn't seem to have a problem with that. Salad was wilted and drenched with about 8T of dressing and the soup was about as hot as day old coffee. Tasted about as good too, but with a twist of cigarette ash flavoring for good measure. The waiter did offer to microwave it for me, but the thought of eating anything that had been festering in a lukewarm bacteria stew just wasn't all that appealling. My boyfriends potroast sandwhich was okay...if you like salt. However, the beer was tasty.

Beer. The PM Porter is the smoothest most flavorful beer that I've ever had in my life. It is definately my new favorite beer. Unfortunately they don't bottle any of their products.

Willing to travel to get this pizza. I originally went to BJ's in San Diego and absolutely loved it. I would go there every time I visited. I was so happy to find that there are several BJ's pizzas here in Portland, and I would highly recommend all of them. The pizza is delicious. It is Chicago style pizza, so the crust is light and airy, and the toppings are great for creating a one of a kind pizza for you and your party. They also brew their own beers and root beers, which is rather refreshing. I have taken many people to BJ's when they visit, and I have never heard any complaints.

RELAXING ENVIRONMENT. I came here with family and the food was decent. The service is good and I would definitely go back again. I especially like their home crafter brews, as they have some tantalizing flavors!
