In Short
Portland International Raceway's (PIR) premier event, the G.I. Joe's 200 Indy Car World Series, happens late every June, closing out Rose Festival events for the year. Big names from around the Indy Car circuit roll into town to compete at this stop on their tour. Events at PIR don't stop there, though. The raceway is host to numerous antique car and motorcycle rallies and races every year, as well as cycling races on Tuesday nights from May to September.
