Bob's Terrible Pizza Joint.
Terrible Pizza made here. I'm still trying to get rid of the nasty aftertaste.
I gave this place a try from a Groupon Now deal. Sorry I did. Upon arriving they wouldn't accept the Groupon to buy the $10 pepperoni pizza, because it's a special. So, I was forced to pay the $10. But it was the lousiest pizza i've ever had. Small, skimpy and more like a cracker with a little nasty tomato paste and cheese and the cheapest pepperoni they could cobble up and then overcooked and burnt to boot. They were very forceful in making the sale as well. Felt more like a used car lot than anything. Is there anywhere these slimy people wont show up in life? There's a lot of obviously fake reviews for this joint saying the pizza is great, no shame.
Anyhow, go anywhere else. You will regret eating here for sure.…
Bad Pizza in Portland.
The sauce tastes canned and has a weird aftertaste. The cheese is flavorless, of poor quality and the appearance of the pie is poor. The dough is flattened by a machine and it tastes like it. The
crust has no flavor, no chewy goodness and no snap.
Tastes marginally better than a frozen pizza, but not much.
Another reviewer gave this place four stars - and mentioned it was "better than Pizza Hut". If you find Domino's or Pizza Hut to be even marginally edible you probably have bad enough taste to enjoy this shite. If you like real pizza you will hate this.
Portland has few decent pizza places and this is not one of them. Go to "Escape from New York" in NW, or Mississippi Street Pizza in NoPO. Or spend a little more at Pizzicato or Hot Lips all around town.
Rocket Pizza has a cool name, a great sign, and Crappy Pizza. Extra disappointing because it is near my neighborhood, and locally owned.…
Love it. Always a great deal. $10 for a large pepperoni "pick up only". They're practically giving them away. If you want a cheap $10 pizza with bad quality ingredients go to pizza hut. If you want one made locally owned with quality ingredients by very cool people go to Rocket bobs. All the employees are super nice and the pizza is outstanding.…
Pizza I wanted to love, but can't.
I love supporting local businesses and am always up for pizza so i was excited to try Rocket Pizza after a flyer was placed on our front porch this morning.
The crust was good. The pepperoni was yummy, but I didn't care for the ground beef and there was something weird about the cheese, I don't know if it had been left out for a long time or what, but it wasn't good. It was disappointing and with the delivery charge it added up to be 31 (plus tip, delivery guy was super nice so I let him keep the $4) for a large pizza and caesar salad (which was actually SORT of good). Now I know that's not the MOST expensive, but it's a decent amount and I expected to enjoy myself.
The bottom line here is that cheese, for me, on a pizza is the third important ingredient (after sauce and crust) and it ruined it for me. Sad and yuck. :(…
Killer little neighborhood pizza joint!. This rivals my favorite pizza. The old Old Town Pizza has always been my fav. This pizza has a cracker crust so if you're into deep dish, this may not be for you. The sauce is perfect, not sweet and not bitter either. The toppings are really good. Huge slices of crispy pepperoni. Not too spicy. This place is tiny. Just one 4 seat table so it's not exactly eat-in. The people are fantastic and Bob still makes his own dough, secret recipe style. Phone in and pick up is the way to go. So tasty. Definitely a new fav.…
