great local coffee shop

This is a cozy little neighborhood coffee shop and you're supporting a small local business. In addition to the coffee, you'll always find art and interesting people in this coffee shop.

Warm and Friendly

If you want to support a small, locally owned business, Village Coffee is the best Multnomah Village alternative to Starbucks. Many (maybe all?) of the coffees are organic. The place is small and funky, with work by local artists on the wall. This is one of those places where the customers and employees all know each others' names, but they're friendly to newcommers. In addition to the usual menu of coffee and tea drinks, they also have a nice selection of baked yummies. The only drawback is its small staff, so if you're in a huge hurry, this might not be the right stop for you.

- Cons: Not super speedy
