Buffalo Gap Bacon Bleu Burger!!!.
Buffalo Gap has VERY good food. This is the kind of place you'll see on Diners, drive-ins and dives.
Their Bacon Bleu Burger is the best burger I've had. EVER! Whoever is cooking these knows what they're doing!

terrible.
Just ate at Buffalo Gap Sunday morning..and will not go back. The whole experience was over 2 hours, and the experience was poor at best. Waited 1 1/2 hours to be served, and then the food was cold-toast was black. The waitress came back 2 times, during all of this time, and then did not even acknowledge that we just waited that long for our meal. Very poor showing. Please take family on weekends there with caution especially if they are hungry and want to eat in a relative short period of time. Find somewhere else to go is my recommendation

Great service, Great Food, Great Atmosphere.
My wife and I go into the Buffalo Gap quite frequently and I guess you could now call us regulars. We have yet to have a bad dining experience. The service has always been very good and we enjoy the laid back type atmosphere. It's right down our alley!

Buffalo Solider!.
This establishment never disappoints. I've held business events here. I've dined here w/ family. I've been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner. I used to frequent here in my younger days after finishing our restaurant shift.
Hands down they take care of you, along w/ their ownership and management.
SIX STAR!

For a tavern, it's tops.
First of all, you have to remember that this is a tavern, not a restaurant. To the sour apple "noisycow" below: you don't take your kids to a tavern for crying out loud, I don't care if it DOES tout itself as a restaurant - because everybody knows it simply isn't. And if you're griping about the consisency of hummus at a bar you've got bigger issues than poor food quality.
The food, the staff, and the atmosphere is just awesome for small groups of adults. My girlfriend and I consider it a nice little drink haunt, too, especially for Blazer games. And the food really is darned good for a tavern; the menu is very extensive, too.
To note: my girl does NOT like fish, but loves The Buffalo Gap's fish n' chips.
We'll be patrons until the doors close.
Oh, yeah: FREE MUSIC HERE - NO COVER!!

Old standy for a drink and decent food.
Been going here for years. Maybe I have a "home field" bias, but this is always a fun place to stop in and have a drink. The crowd in usually friendly and willing to chat. Bartenders make great drinks. I love their burgers. Wait staff is always enjoyable.

Not great long wait food didn't taste great.
Whent there tonight and waited also an hour for our food. The Hummus tasted like thin soup. The mushroom burger had no mushrooms on it. The Buffalo wings they recommended for a little kid in the group were red hot. Price was high. Just not a great experience at all.

Great Bar!.
We rented their private room for a party and had a great experience! The staff was amazing from planning to execution. I work in the event/catering industry and was genuinely impressed! Great bar food too!

Breakfast is below average.
I have been here twice for breakfast now, and it is very, very average. I paid $9 for a scramble dish that was so small, it looked like they used only one egg in it. The cheese in it was partially burnt. The toast was cold and it was the wrong kind from what I ordered. The second time I went there I tried the supposedly "super special" biscuits and gravy. It was a generous helping, but the biscuits were nothing special and the gravy was bland. It tasted like sweet cream. The service can be a little abrupt too. There are a ton of great breakfast places in Portland to choose from and this is definitely not one of them.

Great Venue for a Private Party.
We held a surprise 50th Birthday Party in their upstairs "Attic" on St. Patrick's Day and it was a total blast. The staff was nice, efficient, helpful, and overall great. Everything went off without a hitch and I'd recommend Buffalo Gap for a private party to anyone.
