Great Old Fashoned Greasy Spoon. Mainly a breakfast place, but excellent burgers and philly cheese steaks. Big portions at a cheap price. Can be crowed at times.

Ooh, breakfast--piles of food amid madness and chaos.. Okay, this is definitely one of the hip places to eat. Noisy, lots of metal and tattoos blending with yuppie parents speaking long, slow sentences to little kids...Great place for families or a group of students getting together. Food is greasy-spoon delicious. Gawd, don't look for those little "heart healthy" thingys on this menu. (There's a reason it's called Fat City...) Service is pretty quick, choices are average for a breakfast diner and the prices are about average. But the portions and flavors are delectable! Coffee isn't memorable--neither good nor bad, but it keeps coming and it's hot.

Don't look too closely at the place. Makes you want to get in there after hours with a bucket of anti-bacterial soap and a scrub brush...especially that bathroom. Yarks!

But Fat City is simply a deliciously fun place to eat at decent prices with good and plentiful portions among the beautiful people of Multnomah Village.

Speaking of which, leave a bit of time after you meal to wander among the shops. Funky, different--definitely part of the breakfast adventure.

Down Home quality diner. OHMYGOD 3 words Corned Beef Hash! the hash browns were a little less krispy than I like but good portion and still delicious. carniverous_pretzel said her over medium eggs were perfect. The ham was great as well. Great service, great quality !

Breakfast/Lunch. Great ol' funky decor!

Yum - did I mention the Corned Beef Hash!

The Burgers are good too & prices are very good!

Great burgers, and chicken fried steak. One of the great things about fat city is the quality of the ingredients they use. The food all taste homemade. They have one of the best burgers in the city, and there breakfast is also top notch, the chicken fried steak with country sausage gravy is one of the best things you will find anywhere. Another great thing about fat city is that it is not trendy, they are more concerned with making it better than making it different.
