Great beer bar.
I didn't start coming here until after the smoking law passed on January 1st but I am a regular now that it is smoke free.
DA BEARS, I don't even follow sports but I like the theme.
Bar tenders are really nice and this is a great place to chill

Neighborhood tavern that's a good bet for games at the bar or on TV..
In Short
Some nights it's quiet, with regulars reading novels at the bar; other nights--especially Thursdays--it's packed with 20-somethings. Inexpensive turns at the pool table and beer at a working-man's price are standard. Customers can drink pints of draft beers (local microbrews change with the season) or cheaper bottles of whatever they drank in college, while gazing at three TVs usually tuned to sports. There are also three pool tables, two dart boards and video games.

neighborhood sausage fest.
The Ship rocks, If you like the Bears or the Cubs this is the place to go. Get a red beer on Saturday, the Sandwiches are a great deal and when they have the meatloaf sandwiches its a steal.
LOVE this bar!

Free Peanut Night!.
The Ship has the BEST free peanuts on Thursday nights -- and most of the fun lies in tossing your empty shells on the floor. :) If you have trouble finding parking, you can usually find space at the USBank on Capitol Hwy. The bartenders are great -- the owner is from Chicago, so the bar is adorned with Cubs fanfare. Note: for Cubs fans, you can see every game at The Ship! The atmosphere is always great for a place to chill after work (very, very casual). If you don't care for their food (only the turkey club was good), then head across the street to Pizza Schmizza and eat your slice on the Patio Schmattio! Truly a great neighborhood bar that I will continue to visit on a weekly basis!
