Surrounded by antique stores in Multnomah Village, Annie Bloom's fits right into the neighborhood with its quirky charm and small-town feel. Shoppers quickly feel at home among the crowded shelves and the large selection of local and regional titles adds to the store's atmosphere of community. Like many bookstores nowadays, it offers browsers the chance to take a load off, with large upholstered armchairs and free tea and coffee.

I love this cozy little book shop. They always have exactly what I'm looking for even when larger stores like Powell's or Barnes and Noble don't. They are reasonably priced and always have lots of books on sale. The employees are not only helpful but actually seem to be intelligent people. They even hold meetings on occasion for Moveon.org and I think that's swell!

Annie Bloom's is my favorite book store on the planet. When you walk in you feel like you are in a book lovers paradise. The shelves are stocked from floor to ceiling and table displays tempt your fingers to flip through every page. You'll find things you didn't know you needed and you'll have to buy them. You see they have books you don't find other places. Set in the Multnomah neighborhood the book store is a privately owned and opperated treasure. The prices are fair and the staff are always helpful and friendly. You'll never feel like you can't take your time and browse and that is the beauty of a book store. Plus they have a punch card system, so after you buy so many books you can save on your next purchase. Go today, you'll never want to leave! PROS: wonderful selection and atmosphere CONS: can be hard to find parking

This is a wonderful little bookstore - exactly what the vanishing breed of independent booksellers is all about. It is situated in the quaint Multnomah Village and definitely has a neighborhood feel. It's the kind of place where you want to pull up a chair, grab a few books and stay a while. The store is small, but well-organized and books are easy to find. If you can't find what you need, the staff is always more than willing to help. It's clear that they share the love of books with their customers. Because it is a smaller store, their selection obviously isn't equal to that of Powells or some of the powerhouse chain bookstores, but they carry a great selection of literary works and new fiction by upcoming authors. A true book lover will feel right at home here!
