Service was bad, and food was spoiled. My husband and I went to Elmer's on black Friday after an exhausting shopping morning. We arrived when they first opened around 7am. We both ordered the shrimp and crab omelette, and when it arrived at our table it had a very strong fishy odor. When we told the waiter we wanted to return our food and order something else, he immediately had an attitude and slammed a coffee cup on our table. We ordered steak and eggs (trying to avoide the seafood), and when it arrived, it tasted like dried up steak with butter on it, and yes, it the steak had a slab of butter sitting on the top of it. Needless to say, our appetite was ruined, and I will never go back. Oh, and I forgot to mention that my water glass had lipstick on it!
Want a good pancake?.
I tend to avoid what I refer to as the "coffeeshop" type of restaurants, but of the lot, I prefer Elmer's.
Elmer's does a fantastic job on pancakes, and I recommend the berry topping. For lunch, I usually go for their salads -- which are hefty, so a half portion might do. For dinner, try their Stroganoff, but ask for extra sour cream!
