Hotels >Shilo Inn Suites Hotel Portland Airport
Nice accommodations. Nice rooms, big pool
Shilo Inn at the Airport Restaurant. This restaurant has really gone down hill! We have stayed at the hotel several times and eaten all our meals there. Normally the food is OK but the prices are high, as with most hotel restaurants. However, on Sunday when we went in for a late breakfast (10:50) our service was so completely awful that I actually got up to go look for our server to find out why it was taking so long. We ended up getting our food at about 11:40!!! She explained that they were waiting on the waffle???? I will never eat there again!
Resturant has GREAT holiday buffets!.
Shilo Inn Airport Restaurant
Trying to still shake off our bad Thanksgiving Day experience at Shenanigans – we decided to try the Christmas Day Buffet at Shilo Inn Airport Restaurant.
What a marvelous and great difference!
Although they were busy, we were promptly seated. In a relatively small space, they set out a holiday buffet fit for a king & queen!
First, even though we arrived at 2 pm, everything – and I mean everything – was fresh and tasty.
The salads were cold and crisp. My sweetie and her mom really enjoyed the fresh, iced shrimp and cocktail sauce. The rolls tasted fresh-from-the-oven.
Their Carving Station featured pork and roast beef, the turkey was pre-sliced in generous chunks, hot and fresh in a chafer. Their mini-carrots were delicious and the fresh green bean casserole brought back wonderful memories of family dinners gone by. The potatoes were fresh (and real), and the walnut stuffing was divine. As I recall, they offered both creamed sweet potato and squash slices.
While we were there, a chef came out from the kitchen and inspected the food in the chafing dishes. “These have been out here for at least 20 minutes; let’s put out fresh food!” he said to the staff.
The service was attentive, but not pushy. Our waiter was good natured, and appeared happy to serve us, even though he was doing so on Christmas day.
And, the desserts were fresh and delicious.
I can’t speak to their daily menu, but their Christmas Buffet was toothsomely delightful!
What a Great Experience!.
This was a special lunch with my father, brother and sister. We hadn't done this in a long time and wanted to choose a place we knew would be very good, and yet not to expensive. The choice couldn't have been better. We all had something different to eat. I had the Shilo Burger. It was great! Everyone else was very happy with their choice of food.
The food was fantastic. So was the service. Matt was our server and was just great. The manager (Al) even came over to see how we we're doing. They even had a man playing the piano (Mark). He was also very nice.
The four of us already set a date to return to have lunch at this fine restaurant. In fact, we agreed we're just going to continue having our future get togethers at this same place. It's just perfect!
Exceptional food and service at a very fair price. I'll recommend this quality place to everybody I know. It's not a run of the mill restaurant. I've heard the ad on the radio that say's "Affordable Excellence". This is true. I couldn't be happier.
best to stay away. for starters they are very overpriced the food leaves a lot to be desired and the service leaves even more to be needed It was so hard to get ahold of our waiter meanwhile I could hear loud talking and laughter coming from the kitchen area I tried to ask someone else that passed by for something and the gave me a rude look and I never got what I wanted I would not return not good even for hotel food I'd rather go across the street to Shari's and I won't even mention the cleanliness or shall I say the major lack of

ok for hotel food. food was ok and hot, service lacked, messed up order and had to hunt down our waitress. Have been here a few times with conventions, ok - a little lack luster
