been going for 17 years no more. We havebeencoming here for 20 years the service was always good and prompt good prices and fair portions. Untill we found out they use peanut butter in their enchilada sauce. No where did it mention they used peanuts we had even asked a few times before and told no they didn't use peanuts. We will never eat at this resturant again. Booooo el' Indio

My favorite Mexican restaurant. I love this place. The service is always fantastic and tentative. The food is generously portioned and very delicious. I love going there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys good Mexican food!

Consistantly Great. My husband has been coming here most of his life. The food is always good, and the prices fair. The service is always friendly and attentive. You know what you are going to find every time you go in, it's always a good night at El Indio's!

SOO good!. I visit El Indio as often as I can, at least once a month. Their chicken quesadilla is heavenly, I don't know how they cook the chicken, but it is extremely flavorful, juicy and tender. I have never tried anything on their menu that wasn't good, I especially like the pollo con crema, arroz con pollo and the carne asada. The drinks are all very tasty and fun too! The decor is interesting, to say the least, but it wouldn't be a mexican restaurant without all of the bright colors, funny paintings and fake roses! The staff is very friendly and they are knowledgable about the dishes served and about helping you decide what to get if it is a new experience!

our happy place. Before my boyfriend and i had met, we both had been here and loved it. When we got together, we now call it our place. We get the same thing everytime. He gets the espresso burrito, and i get the chicken fajitas without peppers. Its amazing. The drinks are wonderful. Its a great place for us to meet all of our friends and have a wonderful time.

I love Mexican food and this is darn good Mexican food!. It is not authentic but man does my mouth salivate when I think about this place! I love the carnitas burrito and the Pollo Con Crema.....but I have to say everything is amazing here! The service is great, the chips are great, the salsa is great and the price is unbeatable! They have great daily specials, oh, the arroz con pollo is pretty fabulous! I pretty much love this place and go whenever I get a chance!

Good experience, would be better with more variety.. The food is good and the prices are decent and the staff is friendly. Sadly, pork carnitas are not on the menu.

Love their salsa!. I've been eating at this place since 97 and it is still my favorite mexican restaurant in pdx. Sure it may not be as authentic, but for the price and quality you can't beat it. The staff have always been nice and the service is good even when they are slammed. Their salsa is awesome and is actually spicy. Most places its so mild it might as well be tomato sauce. If I had it my way it would be flaming hot, but then most people wouldn't eat it. My boyfriend and I can have each an entre, a side of bean dip, and sodas and only spend about $24 with tip! They also have specials during the weeknights. The Chicken Pipian is my favorite!

Decent food, Good prices, Great Staff. As someone has noted, there arent a lot of veggie options, but i've never been unhappy here. The service is great, and my non-veggie boyfriend loves the carne asada. I'll take his word for it.

This place is worth a shot.

It doesn't get any better then this!. I have been going to El Indio for over 10 years now and it keeps getting better. When my husband and I were 1st dating I took him here, and he loved it. The food is great and the service is excellent! The waitress's are the best,and a great bartender too. drinks are great and priced good too.We like to sit in the Bar,you can smoke inside and relax. sports are on the TV's and chips and salsa are great. Best Tamale's I've ever had&the Chile con queso is a must have!
