Highly Recommended !!!. Got a tattoo colored in yesterday by Gary, even though he was the third person to have to work on my very annoying choice of tattoos, he was awesome. He did an amazing job, and finished it completely .I cannot say enough how grateful I am. Im really not a fan of tattoos cause I hate the pain , yet Gary made it my least painful experience yet. Cant thank him enough.

Gary is very friendly and does great work!. Reasonable pricing, very friendly and they make you feel comfortable. My sister has been tattooed by Gary several times and I recently went to him. My tattoo came out perfect and healed great (which I think has to do with a good artist). I will be going back. I have been to a handful of other artists and Gary is my favorite, I highly recommend this shop. Clean, professional and flexible scheduling.

Alternative Tattoo, get your tattoos done here. I have had 2 other tattoos done in different shops, but this was the best expirence that I have ever had getting a tattoo before. When going into gettting my tattoo done, the price was very reasonable for the size of tattoo. when they talk to you about everything that you want done you feel that you are getting an honest and trustworthy response. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. When I decide to get another tattoo I will be going back to Alternative Tattoo without a doubt.

first & best. I went here for my first tattoo and i had the best experience. Gary was understanding of what i wanted and helped to create my beautiful tattoo. he was calm and stopped when i needed a break. I'd recommend himj to anyone!! I am ready to go back for my second one!!

Avoide at all costs. I went here for my first three tattoo's and am extreamly unsatisfied with them. My first one only two years old now looks like I've had it a good 10 years due to how I was told to heal it out. The line work is bad at best and none of my lines are straight on my most recent tattoo of a cross with an S through it.

If you are concidering going her for their prices concider saving some money in the long term and going some where that does good line work and good shading. Go some where that displays their art work, i.e. pictures of their art on some one.

User review by jarradjanssen. This was my first tattoo so i was a bit nervous. I was referred to Alternative Tattoo by a friend. Gary did my tattoo and did a great job and was very pleasant to visit with and i was put at ease immediately. The tattoo looks great and the price was reasonable. If i was to get another tattoo, i would definitely go back to alternative tattoo.

It's the only place I go. I've had all five of my tattoos done at Alternative Tattoo. Both Frankie and Gary have done their fair share for me. Frankie is always a lot of fun and really good-humored. Gary is very kind and patient. They both offer a relaxed, laid back atmosphere. I love going there every time.

Alternative Tattoo is awesome.. I had my first tattoo done by Gary, one of the artists at Alternative Tattoo. He was very polite (and patient...), and his skill is absolutely incredible. I love my new tattoo. Pricing is moderately expensive, but I honestly didn't mind paying a few extra bucks for the excellent atmosphere and highly qualified employees. I did end up having to wait for about an hour before I actually got into the tattoo chair because Alternative does not accept appointments over the phone, but again, I didn't really mind. Overall, it was a very pleasurable experience. I look forward to having it again sometime in the near future.

Best Place In Portland. I have four tattoos, and all of them have been done by Gary. He is extremely talented, and I will not allow anybody else to tattoo my body. If you are looking for a great artist to do your tattoos, go to Alternative Tattoo.
