What we heard

A few months ago we ran into an ex employee of Patricks, while talking with him he was explaining how over the past 4 years Patrick owned the restaurant he was using boxed stouffers lasagna, getting manicotti from a frozen box and making Minestrone from a can. Before I thought about posting this ad my husband and some friends decided to go to DaVincis and check out the new owners, because the reviews people are writing are really not giving them a chance. The new look of the inside was what this place needed 10 years ago, they had live Jazz and desserts from a local organic baker. Our server was Ed and he recomended a really amazing Dolcetto that went great with my Filet Mignon and as for the rest of the table they were all ohing and ahing over there food. I was very impressed with Chef Heather and what she has done with this place. Ashame on all of you who have written such hurting words of discouragement of this wonderful restaurant. For those people who know what good food is, please check this place out. I have been back with my husband 4 times already. And we love Jose's smiling face and jokes.
- Pros: Homemade food made with passion
- Cons: People not giving a chance

Just got back from Davinci's and finished crying enough that I can write.
First of all, the tableclothes look very nice. And the new pictures...beautiful.
Now...I would like my disappointment to unfold, as it did for me. What did you do to my bread? Where is my freshly grated parmesan cheese? My bottle of olive oil?
The salad appears the same. But...my bread. It was divine. The cheese. I took for granted.
Here comes the main course. Oysters. They taste...ok. They are not the same. There is half as many. The sauce. Gone. The zuccini. Replaced by diminished squash. I could cry. With every oyster, my sadness deepens.
Dessert. Patrick's Tiramisu...is gone. Gone for ever I tell you. Have you ever tasted it? From the almond flavor whipped cream to the espresso soaked lady fingers. Exquisite. Perfect. You see...I worked for him 6 years ago. I took for granted, the food that was Patrick...and now...It's gone. Davinci's...my friend...is DEAD!!!!
Let's start a support group because I am truly depressed. I can't believe I will never have...the best food ever!!!
- Pros: Tableclothes
- Cons: They destoyed everything good about my restaurant!!
what happened? Patrick come back!!!

what the heck happened to the restaurant I've been going to for 15 years???????? What a shock to see the place almost deader than a mausoleum on a Saturday night. then after getting our food I understood why!!! the chicken parmesan was drier than a piece of wood with hardly any marinara sauce that was under the chicken. NO cheese on it, loose bread crumbs on it that weren't cooked. I had linguine with 4 cheese sauce. It was like a congealed mess of goo. Not silky smooth sauce that hugged the noodles like it used to be. Sad, sad, sad...Then my friend ordered a pizza to go for her hubby. Good thing she opened the box. The crust was doughy, pizza slices all smooshed together and on top of the other. What an expensive disaster. I will NEVER go back to this again and have already told all my friends who have also gone there over the years. What a total disappointment.
- Pros: seeing the old waiter Eddie again
- Cons: ummmm chicken parmesan with uncooked bread crumbs on top?
