I eat here about once a week.. A few tips for the previous poster and anyone who has not been to Super Burrito. There is a condiments bar on ice that anyone with any sense would take advantage of.. It has green and red salsa, freshly cut radishes, lime slices, and pickled jalapenos with other vegetables.

The Super Burger is served on a hoagie like bun, definitely not a hot dog bun. For $3 it is a good burger IMO, and the fresh cut fries, a rarity anymore, are fantastic.

The hard tacos are great too. The shells are lightly fried, crispy and hold together. When I get a burrito I ask to have it deep fried which takes it to another level.

So if you are not a whiny Californian you will love Super Burrito.  View Less

I really wanted to like this place.... This place is in a great location, and has great potential. I recently moved nearby, and was in hopes that this would be a regular stop for me. I grew up on San Bernardino, CA Mexican food, moved here 27 years ago, and have watched the local food gradually improve.

I have been here three times.

First time, I don't recall what I ordered- was nothing memorable, about six weeks ago.

A couple weeks ago, I had two carne asada tacos and a side of beans. Distinctly recall a lack of favor- in fact, nursing home food bland.

Today, I gave them another try. A "Super Burger", a steak fajita burrito, and an iced tea... $10 and change..

The burger was in a hot dog bun pretending to be a torta bun- noticeably not fresh because it was crumbly and falling apart, Then there was the sad meat patty, very thin and over-cooked, A couple pickle slices and a bit of tomato... this poor thing belonged in the burger hall of shame. I've had better off of the $1 menus of the major burger chains. I realize this isn't a burger place, but c'mon!

I had higher hopes for the burrito... but NO.... I swear on my dear mother's grave, they used CANNED roast beef. Had that taste you can tell... like the smell of a fre3shly opened can of Alpo. The meat and veggies were at opposite ends of the burrito, My dog enjoyed the meat more than I did...

Like I said, I really wanted to like this place... but three visits and not enjoying what I paid for is test enough.

Look for a Muchos Gracias, Don Pedros, El Burrito Loco, Aprisa, or even a Taco Bell- but just drive by this place and don't stop.  View Less

Good food, reasonable prices!. We moved to Milwaukie from California about 7 weeks ago and have been on a mission to find a really good Mexican restaurant. We've tried a couple of sit-down places that just were not that good. Coming from California we had many places to choose from and we hoped SBE would deliver. I have to say we were really pleased with the quality of the food, the price and the service. I called in our order and it was pretty much ready when we got there. The carnitas burrito was great. There was plenty of meat and I loved that they did not "fill" their burritos with rice - uggh! Meat, beans, onions, tomatoes and cilantro - delicious. Their beef super nachos were ok - lots of meat. However the chips were not very good and the nachos themselves were not very hot. My husband and I are eager to try their breakfast burritos and more. We will definitely be back!  View Less View More

Go to Taco Bell, Muchas Gracias, anywhere but here!. I'm none to particular when it comes to Mexican food- I typically love it all, but this place was terrible. I ordered the supper nachos. The refried beans thrown on top tasted like they had just come out of the can, the cheese wasn't even partially melted, and there wasn't even pico de gallo to add flavor. My husband had a pork burrito with beans and rice. His sides were very bland, but he said the burrito was ok. However, he had horrible stomach problems later on. You couldn't pay me to go back.  View Less View More

Simply great.. I love this place. I visit it as often as the wallet allows. Bean, Beef & Cheese burrito is my favorite menu item, with it's huge girth, and steamy awesome taste. But I also crave the enchiladas, and the quesadias. I also enjoy the churros.

If you like spicy, delicious food that is priced well for the amount and quality you get, and you are craving Mexican, definitely go to SBE. You will not be disappointed.  View Less
