This King Arthur-themed restaurant dishes out pizzas, sandwiches, salads and more to hungry families and couples on dates..
In Short
The first Round Table Pizza opened in Menlo Park, Calif. in 1959. Today, the chain boasts more than 500 restaurants internationally and is recognized for its made-from-scratch
dough, mozzarella, provolone and cheddar blend and gourmet toppings like fire-roasted Roma tomatoes, creamy garlic sauce and salami. Pizzas are available in pan and "skinny" (aka, super-thin) varieties. The menu also offers up turkey, ham and chicken club sandwiches, bread sticks and salads.…
Great for families. If you have young kids this is so the place to go. The pizza is run of the mill meaning it's not bad but not something you would flip your lid over, but it's definitely satisfying, filling and tasty enough. But the best attribute, at least on the two days we went, was the lack of a crowd. Ok, that may tell you something but we happened to go mid-week so I think that is partially why it wasn't packed. Our 3 y.o. had lots of room to explore and some video games to "play". He was entertained, even made a new friend and mom and dad got some downtime. Unlike many kid-friendly restaurants that accommodate the noise of kids but don't have room for kids to move around, Round Table has room to roam in a safe, comfortable environment without bothering other patrons. Oh and their wine carafes are cheap ;-)…
zhousu. Fifteen years ago, I thought there pizza was quite good. Ten years ago, I thought they were fairly good. Five years ago, I thought they were so so. Last week, it was bad. I think the box it came in, probably tasted the same. What gives. It's gone from one of the better pizza's, to the worst, at the same time, it's has become the most expensive pizza around. I now go to Costco, for much better pizza, at half the price, and twice as much. Costco is not my first choice, either. Last weeks Round Table pizza, told me to never go there again.…
I like the delivery guy.
Ok, of the 10-15 times I've ordered pizza from RTP in the past year - the same guy delivers it. Nice guy, little older and always offers up the parm. & peppers.
Anyway, Round Table is a bit expensive but maintains the taste that you remember as a kid, Has never changed and is still good pizza.
They don't skimp and the pie tastes good.
I'm not lining up to go eat there, the place needs a make over. But pick up is just as easy.
The workers are always pretty cool at this location.…
