What happened to many of the older employees. I do not like to shop for cloths, however, over the years I found it tolerable with employees who got to know you.

Now, those relationships, are gone. When you ask what happened to ....... I hear too often "they no longer work here." These were excellent employees who valued relationships. Somehow, the very reason I choose to do our family shopping at Nordstrom has been replaced by mostly young or pushy, anything to make a sale especially if $$$$'s,,,, but if it's an alteration observe, who steps up to service vs. ignore, or short, quip.. Where Is Your Receipt? as their attention is not with you but who may be walking on the floor which may be a $$$$ sale.....sad... but true.....Nordstrom's sterling image based on customer core values is slowly being tarnished by GREED

Great Customer Service. I went into Nordstrom today to look for a new dress in the BP section, and ended up finding two that I really enjoyed. A salesperson named Mary, while ringing me up, asked who helped me today. When she heard that nobody had assisted myself and my mother with our purchases, she took me under her wing and made sure that I knew all of the accessories, cardigans and what nots that went along with the dresses. It was the best time that I've been in Nordstrom BP because of that experience with Mary. I loved that she knew exactly what would look good on me, and didn't try to pressure me into any purchases.

Love Love Love Nordstrom. I really like Nordstrom- I go there almost every weekend. It's slightly pricey, but the clothes and shoes I buy always last a long time. They have such cute things and if you shop when there's a sale you get unbelievable prices. My dad isn't a big fan of shopping for himself but even he likes it. Some sales people are admittedly slightly pushy, but most are very friendly and helpful. I picked out a cute top in BP and when I got to my dressing room, the sales girl had matched it with a scarf and necklace I immediately fell in love with! If you're going to BP, try to find Meredith. She's one of the best . I totally recommend Nordstrom for shopping! Five stars!

Awesome MAC makeup. I only go to Nordstrom for the MAC cosmetics, but the employees are very helpful. To think that people who work at these kind of stores are snobby, but they actually take their time to help me out.

The only place to buy designer fragrances. Pleasant staff. I recently went into Nordstrom at Washington Square for my annual birthday treat and was treated like a star. I must have smelled 15 fragrances before selecting one and was not rushed in anyway and was given excellent customer service with a smile. I left feeling like a princess. I have found that Nordstrom is the place to go for designer perfumes, they have a greater selection than Macy's and you can even get a sample of a fragrance you would like to try (none available at Penney's). I have attended their fragrances festivals twice and think that these are lots of fun as well. Special thanks to Sally at the Lloyd center for her personal service.

MAC = Slow Service All The Time. MAC at Nordstrom really needs an overhaul. I have stopped buying most of their products because you have to fight your way to the counter. I unfortunately rely on their foundation which forces me to get my riot gear on and hold my breath while I squeeze between a million kids just to make a purchase. I must have stood there for 20 minutes, patiently waiting and already knowing what I wanted. Still no one helped me, although I got plenty of glances in between chatty conversations down the counter. Order your makeup online and avoid the BS.

Service. For over ten years, I have felt that the vast majority of Nordstrom employees at Washington Square are young, bored, simple-minded, and spoiled. They act as if they are doing you a favor if they wait on you, and could at a moment's notice quit...for they have money, either from living at home, or having "gotten a Rich One" and they are the wife or toy of some wealthy man.

Service? Well, if they can stop talking to gossiping to one another, or trying to catch the eye of a man who might be a "good catch" e.g. Wealthy, they will saunder over to you...eventually, most of the time. Product knowledge? Please, most of these 20's or 30's only know what they are wearing.

The store manager be it a He or a She must be totally weak, spineless, ineffective as it gets, for year after year, while the faces change like the seasons, the "servie" and "product knowledge" are what one would expect for minimum wage....

Pathetic. Bored wives and "kept' women with nothing much to do, but appear to be working
