I love this place. My office mates go there after work; they have pool, shuffleboard & darts all together & you can nosh & drink beer on tap. It's great for TGIF.

Great Brewpub In My Neighborhood. Wow, some of these reviews are vicious, what gives? I've been going to this place for over 10 years, and I always have a good experience. The beer is good, the food is good, and the service is good. Sure, it takes a little longer on a Friday night, but where doesn't it? 2 thumbs up for a long-lived great pub in my neighborhood!

I drive by this place and they are always busy so I thought I would check it out. My girl had the fish & chips I had the 1/3 ld burger. big mistake, I would have had the same feeling if they fed me a tablespoon of grease, punched me in the stomach and took $30 from my wallet. go there for the drinks, avoid the food.

Give it another try. I'm so surprised reading the negative reviews for this place. Y'all know it's a pub, right? The food is good, sometimes very good (order a Turkey Reuben, you'll thank me), but not spectacular. It's a pub, not Paley's.

We've always had great service, the shuffleboard is $7.50 an hour, the pool is around nine bucks ($20 an hour? just not true). If you go in expecting a laid-back neighborhood joint, you won't be disappointed. Oh, and Margarita Night rocks.

End of an Era. I was introduced to NW microbrews at the Market Pub almost twenty years ago while attending grad school at Lewis and Clark. It knocked my socks off coming from the east coast and enabled my now wife of 18 years to seduce me into marrying her. The beer and the fries were outstanding along with the company I kept! We left the state for 16 years and moved back in 2008 to the Hillsdale neighborhood. Our first stop was beers and food at the Pub. What a huge disappointment. What happened? We've tried several times (at least 6) to see if it was just a bad day. Each time we go, we are not acknowledged when we come in and sit down. We've walked out twice after waiting 10-15 minutes and being ignored. The food is sub-par for the prices. I can't believe people still go there. I now stop in with a growler every now and then but still wait longer than is reasonable to get it filled. I always regret going in there. It's a real shame that the quality of service and food has declined there. Go to Fulton Pub in John's Landing 10 minutes away. It's what the Market Pub used to be.

Andy failed me. I've been going to OMP for a long time. Right down the street and good for kids. I went in tonight and apparently Andy (the owner) is passing a sweet chili sauce off for buffalo wing sauce. What a travesty that he would make this change. . . shame, shame shame. I have always put up with this place being average in the past, but finally hit the wall tonight. Weak sauce Andy! Weak!

Great Location but terrible service/food. My boyfriend and I live right down the street from Old Market and have always been attracted to the resturant because of its convienace. I am not the person that ever complains but this resturant that my boyfriend and I keep giving chances fails over and over again. Today I was served the one choice of (Terrbliy tangy) Hot Buffalo Wing's and got a serving of six legs (go to Racoon Lodge or Rock Bottom and they will give you 15 piceces for the same price). Not only that I was sereved Hot Dog (Said Sausage) inside my $12.00 Macaroni and Cheese. I have repetedly came here expecting something better then before and its my fault this place will never change. P.S. if you want to play pool or shuffel board it costs $20 an hour.... No thanks.....

Great Food. This place is delicious and has superb hot wings. The food can be a good bang for the buck or it can be expensive.

Unfriendly and uninviting.. Went there for my first time. Patrons were much friendlier than the cold, uninviting bartender. Beer was okay. Definitely not the inviting public house atmosphere falsely advertised. If you want friendly interaction with fellow human beings, don't expect it from the bar staff. Though some of their only bar customers of the night, it was made clear that we were not encouraged to stay. Portland can do better, and this place will not be graced by our business again.
