I should have read the reviews first. I am in complete agreement with the reviewers. What kind of place is this. Obviously it is a chain which keeps it going financially. The food is decent, but overpriced. My beef is with the poor service. Our orders were mixed up and no one ever apologizes for an error, I guess that is what you get in a bar with mere teenagers. Smoky in the non-smoking section, that is to be expected in a bar. The staff is so clueless, it is absurd! Don't even waste your time or money.

READ this and believe it!. I don't usually read nor write these reviews, but should have believed the others that found Damon's to be far below standard of any pub. I can't expect much from a bar, but decent food and fair prices. The service is the worst I have ever encountered. The wait staff are either not managed or told to mess up to keep you in longer to order another drink. Their poor excuse for food is despicable! I will never eat here again, nor will anyone I come across. Go away and let a decent pub move in!

If you value your life don't eat here. I belong to a club of secret restaurant reviewers. This place is one of the worst in Portland! I have never had such a problem getting my order as I did at Damon's. The don't have management, they have ill-mannered teenagers who don't know the value of good service. I will challenge anyone to try their food and get what they ordered, with a smile. I had to send mine back two times, my friends, at least once. It was cold, slow and not one person offered to make it right by an apology or discount. I WOULD NOT EAT HERE, EVEN FOR FREE!

The WORST. I have to agree with the other reviews who think this place sucks, BIG TIME! We also had "problems" with the bill(s) each time we were there. I must have over paid 4 out of 6 times, but I didn't realize it the first 2. When I complained, they treated me like crap. It is smokey in the non-smoking section. Their food is not good, and over-priced anyway. Go to a real place, not this poor excuse for service.

Staff tries to steal money. Yes, the staff, mainly the manager does try to steal from the patrons. I was there just the other day, and the people next to us said they noticed too. The manager argued that we did not order within happy hour time and tried to make us pay full price. The waitress forgot to put in our order by the cut-off. We had to fight to get them to honor their own rules. Besides, I will never go back, my buddies used to go (all 6 of us) on a monthly basis, and they kept pulling the over-pricing bit, so we found a new sports bar.

I agree, FAILURE. This place is poorly run, the wait staff are far too young and have no manners, nor will they apologize for making mistakes, over and over again. We had a similar experience, orders being mixed up, requesting utencils-never showed, and the check was over priced, 3 times now, we still got ripped off. I think they steal from their patrons when they can. They charge for extra items and hope you don't notice...when you call them on it, no apology. What kind of place is this? Food, not even good. Too bad this place is so bad, it is close to home. We will NEVER RETURN!
