In Short
The scene is reminiscent of a suburban ski lodge: High ceilings of rough-hewn timber, a big stone fireplace and happy, scampering youngsters. Fries come in five flavors: sweet potato, shoestring, ale-battered steak fries, Yukon Gold and tater tots. There are eight different dipping sauces, including spicy curry peanut sauce and buttermilk ranch. Salads are big, fresh and well-dressed. Other options include burgers, bratwurst and cedar-planked ruby red trout.

After watching my beer sit for ten minutes while my idiot (server) chatted up a co-sloucher, I refused the beer and went across the street for some FRESH beer. I've been there before. The service always bad. Always regret going. Really, the beer is barely average. VERY expensive. Entres are well over ten bucks. You are not welcome and it's just a question of how much you'll put up with before you leave. The place has that stench of failed business. I wonder what the building will be used for next ?

Raccoon Lodge and Brew Pub offers some of the best beer brewed in Oregon. For those who rate brew pubs based on crayon count per table, there are other places you'll enjoy. Yes, it takes a while to get food in the restaurant upstairs...This isn't Chucky Cheese with beer! However, the downstairs Den is a cozy, adult-friendly, environment . The happy hour menu provides a great selection of inexpensive tastey pub fare, all of the standard Lodge brews, plus a number of specialty beers not available in the upstairs bar. Happy hour offerings in the Den are currently available all day Saturday and Sunday. A special note to lovers of tart/sour Belgian-style beers, Ron brews the best!

I dine out probably 3-4 times a week & like to try different restaurants. My daughter & I decided to give the Raccoon Lodge a try on a Monday since they have a free kids meal special on Mondays. They had the WORST service that I have ever experienced in my entier life at ANY restaurant. After being having been seated, it was 15 minutes before the waiter finally made an appearance at our table to take our order. He introduced himself by saying "well, do you have a plan?" He absolutely had absolutely NO personality! I ordered the Mahi and requested that the sour cream and guac be left off, and he responded, "Are you sure that you want that?" After taking our order, it was another 15 minutes before the drinks showed up. I noticed that a couple that had arrived shortly after us got up an left because they hadn't be waited on after 20 minutes. We waited 30 minutes for the food, and it was brough out by one of the table runners and not our waiter. I requested a side of Salsa with my meal - the runner said she'd be right back with it and then never came back. Our waiter NEVER ONCE checked on us to make sure that everything was OK. Luckily the order was correct and the food was very good, but we could have used a few extra condiments that we didn't get a chance to ask for. We waited for 20 minutes after the meal was finished for the waiter to bring the bill. He didn't - he was too busy tending the bar the whole time. I asked the hostess if a manager could be sent to our table so I could mention the lousy service. Waited another 10 minutes, no manager showed up. I finally walked up the bar and requested the bill. The waiter remarked that he was sorry about the delay, it was because they were so busy. Funny thing is for the first 45 minutes I was there they were not that busy at all. Since I can't deal with that kind of poor customer service, I will NEVER EVER return. It's too bad because the food really was good.
