Editorial Review for Tillicum Club – by Bonnie Martin Fazio
In Short
Five nights a week, blues lovers of all types and ages gather to hear one local legend or another: Jim Mesi, Norman Sylvester and Lloyd Jones perform on separate week nights, and musicians such as Steve Bradley appear on weekends. There's also surprisingly good bar food, two pool tables and TV screens for sports-viewing.

Insider Tips
On the MenuThe bar-menu dinner comes with a choice of vegetables--all of them fresh. On one visit, razor clams were as tender and nicely pan-fried as those you'd find at a fancier restaurant.

hi there, i am writing a review because of the review about the old staff "stealing money." this is absurd. I am one of the gals that used to work there, and i will have you know that we were fired. we did not quit and we did not steal money. i used to miss the tilly a lot and all of my regulars but, they have found me and others at the Pitstop not too far away from there, come in and join the fun, if you are missing the old fun and great staff from the former tilly we aren't far away come and see us.
Pros: none
Cons: everything

I want to know why everyone is so owner loyal! Everyone just needs to grow up and realize that it's still the same place, with the same bands, the same menu, and the same cooks. The only difference now is that the staff is unable to pocket money like the old staff did. That's why they left! The old owners were losing $10,000 a month to the old employees! Why do you think they were so quick to sell when they had an offer? There was no system in place for orders which means there was no way of tracking the money. The old employees chose to leave because they couldn't make the same kind of money they were used to with the new system in place. If everyone is so loyal to the old owners, why are they okay with people pocketing their money? These sticky fingered employees left the new owner hanging so he had to find new staff fast. Yes.....some of the staff is current staff from other establishments, past staff, and friends of staff. So what?! They know the computer system and don't pocket money! They stepped up and took on the chaos of that place when the owner was in a bind! That's loyalty! Biting the hand that feeds you isn't! So, let's all just grow up and accept that this is business. Companies sell all the time to others and just don't say anything. Just be customers, have a good time like you're supposed to, and stay out of the inside drama!
Pros: hard workers, good music, and no smoke
Cons: some people go there to find a reason to complain
