It is authentic, Thai family owned, friendly, and portions are generous. Try everything on the menu, since it is all prepared so deliciously.
Authentic Thai Food. Fantastic food. I've tried many thai restaurants in the Portland area, but I always come back to Thai Roses. Simply the best.
Not bad. Had takeout from here a few times. Food is always good. Meat is flavorful and vegetables are fresh. Portions are good sized. Could be spicier but Im one of those people who isn't happy until I'm sweating profusely and nearly hallucinating. A tad pricey, but most Thai restaurants are.
Uch.. Tasteless salad rolls. Completely terrible food that was ordered on a labor day only because a better option was closed. If you want tasteless and mediocre, please eat here.
Excellent Thai, Reasonable Price. This was a recent discovery for us, but is now one of our favorite restaurants. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The building is a converted Dairy Queen or Arctic Circle or something like that, but they've done a decent job transforming it so that it doesn't really feel like you're in a fast food joint. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable. The service is very fast and friendly. I'm addicted to the yellow curry, even though I always used to favor noodle dishes at Thai places. They recently removed draught beer from the menu, which was disappointing, but still have a few micro brews available by the bottle.
unremarkable food in an old diner setting.
We visited this place tonight based on reviews found here and that they are close to where we live.
On entering the place we had the feeling of walking into an old diner but with Thai decorations strewn about. The carpet appeared to never have been changed from the times when the torn vinyl covered booth benches actually were in style in fast food joints before they discovered solid plastic held up better. The dirty menus in warped, cracked plastic menu holders should have been the final sign for us to make our exodus. The food itself was edible though unremarkable. The total bill was surprisingly high for what we felt was a below average meal eaten in a severely aged diner setting. For comparison, we could have eaten at Typhoon for the same price and had very nice surroundings and an excellent meal.
This place is great. I have been getting food here for quite awhile and the food is excellent. I haven't been disapointed yet. The service is good and the people there are very nice. The building itself is great, they have good decorations and is comfortable to sit down and have a nice meal. If you are not sure where you want to go get some thai, this is the place to go.
Decent. Overpriced, but typical of Thai places. Food was decent, service was a little slow, I think only 2 people were working.
Nice place to eat Thai food. Decorate is nicely decorated with Thai pictures, music, a fresh rose and candle are on each table. Service is excellent as is the food and value. Many people in the area have discovered this restaurant and enjoy take-out as well.
Best Thai in Portland - the search is over. Thai Roses was my first Thai experience in Portland and I loved it but wanted to try others. After an extensive search, I must say, Thai Roses is the BEST Thai food in Portland. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!
