Santorini West

Great potential, squandered. There are worse places than this so I gave it two stars. Santorini's downtown used to be such a class act and this place is like the Russian Copper Penny. Half the 'hot' women here are pros. I know because I heard it from the horse's mouth three times in one night.

Nothing is more of a bummer than to spend a half hour talking to a woman and then find out she wants $500.00 to spend the night at your house. Bleech. Lots of prostitutes from Afghanistan, and other Middle Eastern destinations here. Too bad for me, because I think M.E. women are stunning, I just won't pay for it, no thanks.

That said, the one thing that would really help this place is a decent sound system and someone who knows lighting. You don't leave the dance floor lighting on full brightness all night. That is why you won't see someone dancing out there until 11pm. They have to get 100% blitzed before they step onto the brightly lit square for all to see.

Ok, if you are running Woodstock you want giant 24" tweeter horns and limited bass so you can cover acreage.

This doesn't work as well on a 15'x25' dancefloor. Holy drill bit Batman! If you can't invest in decent sound, just turn it down to a reasonable level.

There aren't many places that stay open past 2am on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, this is when a lot of meat heads show up with something to prove. I believe the term is called 'little man's.'

Within 3' of me, a guy accidently (slightly) bumped into a girl on the dance floor. His immediate reward was a fist to the face and a head butt by a 5'2" Mexican gentleman.

Neanderthals come a running at 2am, so just be aware of what type of crowd you will be dealing with here.  View Less … View More

Mediocre at best. Santoniris is a hodge podge of confusion. Thursday's are dead, Fridays (1st of the month is Jonnie Martin...not a bad night) and Saturdays a bunch of drunk half dressed Russians come in. I came in for a brief while as I had friends who went there, but the bartenders behave in a sleezy manner, the bathrooms are not kept clean lacking soap in dispensers, the owner serves as janitor (so I was told) and the food is mediocre. It stays open till 4:00 on Saturday so it's mostly known as an after club hours hang out where most of the people are already drunk and well, ready to take home if you know what I mean.

Anyway, you'd hardly know it was suppose to be a Greek restaurant, nightclub, or what???  View Less … View More

Best Gyro's. I went with some friends for dinner and stayed for dancing. We had a blast! The girls are hot! The food was good too! We ate in what we were told was the new dining room. It was very nicely done and the patio was just the perfect spot, especialy now that the sun has finally made an apperance. I had the snitzel and it was excelent. One person had the Gyro and Greek salad, (says it was the best gyro he's had) and another had the chicken marsala. The service was good. The restaurant was not very full and my guess is the hot weather. The dancing is in another room and it didn't get very busy until around 11pm. (we were told that the hot weather seemed to keep the people away til later in the evening) All in all it was a great evening and we look forward to going again next weekend.  View Less … View More

I do not recommend this place. I was not impressed with this place. At all. The service was average and the food was below average. I had the Italian combination plate and the steak was so incredibly bland. I'd say this was the worst steak I've ever had. I went here with a large group and one of the people in our group ordered the spaghetti and she didn't hardly eat any of her plate. She said her food was bland and said out loud to herself "how do you screw up spaghetti?" Our waitresses messed up our order twice...once for when she brought out everyone's salad and once when she brought out the entrees. Granted we had 10 people in our party so to mess up the order during one part of a meal is somewhat understandable...but twice is a real problem. When the entrees came out, it took her at least 10 minutes to bring all our entrees which was a problem for us since we all waited to eat until everyone got their food. This place serves both Greek and Italian food and I'd suggest they stick to one or the other, probably Greek based on the name of their restaurant. A no-no for an Italian restaurant is to serve the bread with butter instead of olive oil, which of course is what they did. Also, the bathrooms were ugly and not updated at all. They say you can tell a lot about a restaurant, especially around cleanliness, based on their bathrooms. There are two sinks in the men's room and one of them the hot water didn't even work and very little soap came out of the dispenser.
