Best cheap weekly stay in Portland.. First off: This is not the Ritz. On the other hand, the rates are very reasonable (weekly $250), the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, the TV's work, the cable is adequate, there are a few good take-outs right across the street, and it's about one block from Sunset Transit Center, where you can catch the Max Line. Portland has one of the best (if not THE best) transit systems in the country; downtown is only 15 minutes away.

As a constant traveler, this has become my Portland home.

Basic accommodation nestled in the heart of suburban strip malls.. The Scene
The west end of Portland's suburban sprawl offers every national retail chain store and fast food outlet known to man. The hotel is not as far west as the corporate headquarters of Intel, Nike, Techtronics, but it's definitely not downtown, either. This limbo land is perfectly adequate for some, especially those visiting friends who live on the west side. Travelers who want to save a few dollars will appreciate the good rates.

The Details
The refurbished rooms all have cable television. Other than that, there isn't anything too fancy here, although some of the units have kitchenettes. The most indulgent amenity is the free coffee. But there is plenty of shopping in the area, and Highways 26 and 217 converge close by.
