I had Steven cut and highlight my hair last fall. I have to say, 4 months later, I still think he gave me one of the BEST haircuts I have ever had. He did an amazing job with the highlights too. I had "virgin" hair with no color in it. I wanted some highlights to give it dimension but I wanted them to be subtle enough so that you couldn't easily see new growth. He gave me exactly what I wanted and its beautiful. He's also the first stylist in years who cut my bangs exactly how I wanted. I won't be getting my hair cut by anyone else from now on.

I will NEVER go to this salon again. Stephen was rude and rushed through my sister's appointment, not even drying her hair all the way through and not even doing the styling that we had paid for. We had purchased a Groupon and paid for it in advance, but they changed the services without asking us first (gave us highlights rather than a tint), and then charged us the difference. They called it "an honest mistake", but then still demanded money. It was the worst treatment I've ever received in a salon. I will never return, and I will never recommend it.

Love, love, love my new stylist! Bill was professional, friendly, and highly skilled! Not only did he give me the best cut and style EVER, but he ended up doing the whole family! Now, my kids and husband won't go anywhere else. Vitality is a great atmosphere and I am thrilled to have found a place and a stylist that I will look forward to going back to.

The services were fine, but the general atmosphere is very unprofessional. Wouldn't hurt the owners to brush up on their social skills.

Had been looking for a new hairdresser. Stacy Morin at Vitality Salon did a great job-love the scalp massage and all the Aveda Products she used-they smell so good and very relaxing. Stacy is as professional in that she consulted with me first, asking questions, verifying what I wanted thru magazine pics, to make sure we were on the same page. Beautiful salon.

Love the Cut and Color. I have been going to Jeannine, the owner, for over 27 years and have never been unhappy with any of the services she has provided. She's done my cuts, colors, updo's, perms, etc. and always makes me happy. I love the friendly atmosphere of the salon and have recommended it to many friends. Great service and comparable prices to any other salon in Portland!

Love Vitality and my stylist!!. I've been a customer of Vitality Salon for almost a decade and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I receive excellent service every time and always feel welcome. If you are looking for a professional salon with years of experience head to Vitality!

Great Results!. Ive been coming to Vitality for quite some time now and their services are more than sufficient and professional! The stylist are welcoming and always make my experience relaxing and exciting! Not only are the hairdressers there prepared but they are also inspiring on hair styles, passionate about their work and are always enthusiastic right when you walk through their door.

I have met the owner and she has great social competency.

I have recommended many of friends and family to acquire either pedicures, color and cut, updos, massages or any other services that the salon provides. Now, all of these recommendees are permanent clients at the salon and Vitality's reputation continues to grow positively in my community of friends.

You will walk into the salon possibly stressed out because you have a grow out that needs to be taken care of, or split ends that need to be cut.... you will walk out with a huge smile on your face and a next appointment set!

Disgruntled Employee. Please do not believe the negative post below, this is from an employee that use to work here. Citysearch is a wonderful way for clients to be able to comment about there experience at the salon, and its a shame that some people feel the need to write a "fake" post and try to trash us.

I'll NEVER return. I've come here a few times, each time seems like it's gotten worse and worse. I first came in for a haircut and highlight, the entire time the jerk in the corner was saying innapropriate things, and I would be willing to bet he was on crack. My stylist, (apparently the owner? Or family?) had a snarky rude attitude the whole time and she smelled like a dog bed. My hair was less than mediocre, and with what they charge ($50 for a TRIM!) I chose to find another salon to get my hair done at.

Because I live near by, it was convenient for me to come here for waxing. Their aesthetician not only BURNED me (I had to go to the hospital for 2nd degree burns) but she didn't make me feel comfortable at all.

I would recommend finding another place to get your beauty things done at, this one is a solid FAIL.
