Christina rocks the locks.......
I have searched most of my adult life for a stylist I could call the best and I really found that with Christina.
She will not disappoint with her knowledge of the products she uses...up to date information of current trends....tips for keeping your hair healthy and beautiful, and she KNOWS how to cut for the individual.
Christina takes her love of hairstyling to the highest level and it shows everytime I see her.....which over the last couple of years has been many times...
I would recommend Christina to everyone I know and the salon is an easy find off of Barnes Road
great cut!!!. I have been going to Stacy for the past 3 years, she has a real talent for what she does!! I took a leep of faith and tried a new salon after seeing the same women for years, my regular gal was great but it was always the same old cut and color every time. Stacy really took her time with my consultation and got what I was looking for, she is always offering advise on ways to keep my hair "fresh." Sheis fun and professional!!! I have also tried the message there...WOW! words can't explain. needless to say I will continue referring my friends and family to a WONDERFUL stylist and salon!
Great stylist and Aveda products.
I've been to a few Aveda salons and just could not get the right style I wanted, and I'm not a very picky person at all! A friend of mine referred me to Christina, whom happens to work at Vitality. Given the notorious gossip about the place, I decided to give it a chance. I was really only after my hair being done right, so I couldn't care less about how the place was run..
After seeing Christina, I had to take my friend to dinner! Christina did such a wonderful job cutting my hair, and she is just so friendly and funny. I really appreciated how she helped explain how to style my hair differently too. If you decide to give Vitality a chance, you must see Christina. She is great.
The salon - overall it was a bit quiet, and a bit older fashioned than the other Aveda salons I'm used to. Some products I wanted to buy were out of stock, so they definitely need to put more products out on the shelves. Other than that, it has my approval so far. I hope the new location next door is much nicer.
Great Salon and Atmosphere.
While some people say they don't like the chatty atmosphere at Vitality i love it. People must think that a salon should be quiet and boring. Why is that? This place is very lively and homely with the fact that the owners are always there. You can actually have conversations with the people who work there instead of being in dead silence the entire time.
I go to Stacy to have my hair done and i love the work that she does. I used to go to a Toni and Guy and i always felt like they were cutting my hair the way they wanted it to be cut, not what i was asking for. Stacy is always up to-date with the current styles and techniques and travels to great lengths to learn her skills. Trust is a big factor when it comes to finding someone to cut my hair and i have full trust in Stacy. Other salons i have been to have there own teachings which keeps them on a narrow path, the stylist and Vitality are not that way.
I would suggest Vitality to anyone who wants a stylist who is willing to have a great conversation with you and you can have a relationship with, not just someone who will stand there in an awkward silence cutting your hair.
Pets belong at home - NOT at a salon/spa. I I am a fairly new client at Vitality Salon/Spa. It is convenient and the stylists are great. BUT I learned recently that the owners bring their dogs to work with them. They are enclosed in a room close to the front of the salon..................I had wondered what the "aroma" was the first time I was there for a hair cut. Thought it was a new product that I was not familiar with. But no, it's dogs. I am very disappointed.....I love animals but they belong at home. And it's totally against State Board regulations to have dogs at a salon. Each and every stylist that works there can be fined up to $1000.00 if State Board inspects and dogs (any animals) are on the premises, well behaved or controlled or not. This is the THIRD salon in the city that I've gone to that allows this.............where are the inspectors when they're needed ? I may not go back.
Incredible haircut and color!.
I've been with Christina for years, and she never fails to deliver on what I want. She always listens to me and brings out the best in my hair. I have very course and wavy hair which many stylists have previously found difficult to work with, but after seeing Christina, she's found the magic to make my hair appear the way I've always wanted each and every time.
If you are looking for superior detail, precision, experience, or even the latest hair trends and colors, then you need to be pampered by Christina. She is top notch, and I will follow her wherever she goes!
Amazing service take it from a regular.
I have been going to see Staci, the daughter of the owners for almost two years now for my cut and color.
DO NOT BELIEVE NEGATIVE POSTS!
First of all, yes they are a family, so they are not going to ignore each other. If you are going to your stylist to have deep convos and gossip, get a life.
Staci goes to conferences all the time to stay up-to-date on the newest trends and ways to cut and style, so your hair will be in great care!
I have been going here for 2 years because of consistency, and all during my last two years of college. Sure it's a little spendy, but it's my hair! Probably one of the most important things to take care of and first things people notice. I am a natural blonde but get lighter highlights in my hair and have been told multiple times how natural it is... huge testament to the time Staci puts in to her work!
Steven has given me a cut once and was not EVEN bragging to me like other reviews. In fact he was traveling back and forth (2 hours) from his annual family camping trip in order to cater to his clients. When I locked my keys in the car he let me hang out in the salon while it rained and I waited for the locksmith. They are kind, and professional!
It's great to see a family owned salon in the West Hills too!
More professionalism, please!. While I like the services I've gotten at Vitality -- from hair cuts to color to manicures -- the drill is always the same: an unprofessional setting where the three family members who own and run the salon talk to each other non-stop about family dramas and dinner plans and who saw who. I've even heard them speak negatively of customers, in front of other customers! And the chatter is endless. They would be well-served to have an environment that's a bit more upscale and professional -- to match the upscale prices they charge.
After a bad experience with other salons, I took a leap of faith and chose Vitality to cut my hair to give me the cut I have been looking for. I couldn't be happier!! :) My stylist took her pointcut my hair (as opposed to the razor) and took her time to find where it would fall so it would frame my face. Simply said, I love it! I was also offered something to drink, and the cut started with a nice scalp massage. Hooray!
Make SURE you mention the coupon so that they can match you with the right stylist!!
