So glad we found it.. After reading the positive reviews, we drove across town to Mazatlan. Glad we did. The staff was very nice and quickly accomodated our large family. The food was excellent, not a single dish was lacking and it was served quickly which is great when dining with the family. This Mazatlan is much better in every regard than the one near our home, so it is well worth the extra drive.

Mexican done right!. My husband and I are embarrassed, we visit Mazatlan so often. The food is simply that good. We sometimes go to other Mexican restaurants, but usually regret that they can't compete with Mazatlan on Cornell. They just expanded, so seating is still quick. The likelihood is you will be surrounded by other "regulars", even an occasional celebrity. Word is getting out.

One of our favorites for Mexican. Mazatlan is undoubtedly the best Mexican food we have found on the west side. We've never had a dish that we wouldn't recommend. The fare is authentic, the flavors are wonderful, and dining is comfortable. If you ask for the "special" Margarita, brace yourself.

Worst food. Service was fine. We ordered chicken enchiladas and a quesadilla with shredded beef. The chicken enchiladas were edible, the rice was dry, and the beans had less flavor than Taco Bells (which is one block away). The quesadilla was smaller than my hand stretched out. It had only a sparse amount of meat and cheese but was loaded with REFRIED BEANS! I feel it is a cheap thing to do. Also if I wanted beans, I would have ordered a burrito and pressed it flat with my shoe.

Excellent Mexican dishes. Very pleasantly surprised by Mazatlan in Cedar Mill with some of the best Mexican around. Turned out to be a family-friendly restaurant.

Our Favorite Mexican. Not all Mazatlan's are equal. This Mazatlan, tucked away at Cornell and Murray, is our best Mexican experience in the Portland area. Their chicken dishes are the standouts - Ranchera, Diabla, and Enchilada.
