Don't even bother to stop!!!!.
We haven't been here for a while and the food has definitely gone down hill since our last visit. All three of us agreed that we would never come back again. We all ended up not feeling well that evening and the next day. The only good thing I can say is that the food was Hot and the water was Cold. As for quality and flavor of food I would rate it a big ZERO.
The sign out front should say "Eat at your own Risk"!
Chiam is the best food.
Mongolian Beef is the best, i mean i have yet had better Mongolian Beef anywhere, i love their general tao's chicken too. but the one that i love the most is their off the menu shrimp. i mean if you ever headed that way, you got to try it. but is kind of expansive. oh, by the way, best service i have. they even help me box up the left over.
Best in town..
I went there when I was a kid and loved it. Moved back to Portland a few years ago and it is still exceptional. I love the pork chow mein w/ pan fried noodles. These noodles are thin and slightly crispy and very good. The general tao's chicken is another good one. If you order the BBQ pork, the sauce they bring is great. I live in Portland but its worth the drive. Tip: Try ordering off the menu if you don't see your favorite dish. They seem to be pretty accomodating. All in all the food is different from a typical chinese place.

Our experience with Chiam was terrible. The food was not good and, in some cases, not what we had ordered. It was bland, watery, and the chow mein had no noodles! Last time I checked, noodles were important in chow mein. The thing that really made us upset is that we paid well more than we would have at other Chinese restaurants for better food. Maybe we ordered the wrong things or caught them on a bad night, but we aren't going to give this place a second chance.
