Portland >Manicures & Pedicures > Nails For You
I used to go to this salon on a regular
basis, because Sam was the only nail-tech that has ever been able to do my nails how like them, and they'd last for a month without needing a fill.
Well, that all changed last night when my mom and sister went to have mani/pedis that they were given gift certificates for for Christmas, and they were treated horribly!
First of all, they had appointments, but were made to wait for 45 minutes or more before only ONE of them was attended to because walk-ins were allowed in the meantime, and were being attended to by all the available techs. They weren't able to sit next to one another because the first one was almost done before the other one even got started! Then, when it came time for their manicures, my mom's wishes were not granted as how she'd like her nails to be done, and the techs rolled their eyes and spoke to eachother in their own language, obviously about what my mom asked them NOT to do. She also asked for a French manicure, that ended up costing her an extra $5 even though she wasn't told it would, and it's not posted anywhere in the establishment saying it would. Ultimately, her nails were so poorly done, that she had to completely redo them when she got home. My sister had a similar experience... She HAD fairly long nails, and now they're so short, they don't even stick out above her fingertips, and her shellac nail polish wasn't applied correctly as to the guarantee that it lasts for 2 weeks or more. Also, the shellac costs an additional $8. Just a forewarning.
Tina, you should be ashamed of yourself for running a greedy business, that obviously cares more about the almighty dollar than customer service. You lost 3 loyal customers last night, and I will be posting this review on every review site I can so other people know better than to come to your salon.
P.S. Never trust a salon that has a sign-in sheet!!! This means they received a low health inspection score and are now having to keep track of all clients. Nails For You has a sign-in sheet, but doesn't make everyone sign-in... Hmmm...
Good quality of service, HOWEVER, they were completely overbooked. Had to wait far too long.. I took my two daughters and myself in to have manicures and pedicures. They were short-staffed and instead of being realistic about the wait length, they tried to straddle us all. Each one of use sat and waited for at least 30 minutes while the staff was trying to keep up with the other customers. We have been going to this salon for quite awhile, but will not return.
