Best Fried Eggs. This used to be one of the best traditional breakfasts in Portland and I enjoyed it once a week for twenty years. Then suddenly they stopped being able to cook eggs and the toast was always burned. Big redecoration and the tea still served in a scummy old plastic pot? I finally had to give up after leaving hungry over and over.

Get the pancakes! 'Nuff said. It's better than Denny's, better than IHOP, better than most diner-type places. It's clean and no-nonsense staff will get you coffee'd and fed in a jiffy. Don't write it off as just another chain pancake house, these people know pancakes!

greedy ppl and horrible service. if i could put no star i would...i just wanted to share my experience and review i have made of one of your locations:

been here only once and never coming back! we had coupons to use and showed them to the waiter after being seated. the guy ok'd us to use coupon but never once mention to us that we we're not able to use them at that time...but he did remember to notice that one of our orders did not qualify for the coupon. when the time came to pay n leave come to find out they cant use the coupon cuz its only availble after 2pm, cashier who "claimed" he was in charge did nothing but provide horrible customer service!!! even though it was an hour away, cashier could not make an exception for an error HIS WAITER, HIS STAFF made. apperantly it was our fault for not reading or asking him first not his employee who's been workn there but also reminded us that there was a 8x11 12font size remindin customer's bout coupon time somewhere in the building not visible to customers. all i gota say is bad customer service and greedy people. NEVER COMING BACK TO ANY VILLAGE INN
