Thank You!. If you are looking for a gift for someone you really love, love so much you think about them all day and all night long then this is the place. I have to admit that I am at a bit of a loss when it comes to trying to put my love into a gift for my gal, but Matisse works out 110% every time. Aside from the very friendliest staff and a comfortable atmosphere I think what sums it up best is 'they care'. Thank you.

I will thank Matisse in my wedding speech.. I'm afraid of fancy lady shops. I always end up feeling like a ragamuffin orphan who's getting the evil eye from mean-lady shopkeepers. And you know how a lot of those places only have a few items? And you feel like you're going to get yelled at for touching the clothes?

Matisse is fancy and feminine and accepts ragamuffins with open arms. It's crammed with beautiful things, and you can go eleven different times in a week and find something new each time. The best part, though, is how nice and helpful the ladies are. I first went in shopping for a wedding dress, and after braving scary bridal shops I realized Matisse was the only way to go. Not only did I get the loveliest dress around, I was happy to spend my money there.

The clothing store with the most style per square foot.. In Short
Matisse fills Portland's style void and it's cute as heck to boot. Imagine a very large walk-in closet, filled mostly with clothes that say, "Go ahead, be a girl. I dare you." Flowery dresses? Yup. Fitted cardigan sweaters? Check. There are lots of sheer fabrics here. Matisse is a boutique in every sense of the word. The clothes are gorgeous, well-made and have price tags that reflect both of these things.

why go to paris!. why go anywhere when you can go to Matisse...it feels as though Edith Piaf will be in any minute..it is quirky and elegantly nostalgic...

Sweet Joy. Shopping at Matisse always fills me with sweet joy. This little shop has a wonderful selection of beautiful, groovy dresses and sexy yet classy pants. They carry lines from smaller designers that you read about but can't always find in our budding metropolis. Check it out and enjoy the experience of shopping at the best little walkin closet in town.

Finally found a great dress shop!. This is a great little shop. The staff was extremely helpful and the selection of interesting, unique dresses was excellent. It's my new favorite place to go for outfits to wear to weddings, special events, etc.

Your cool best friend's closet!. You know your best girlfriend, the one with the best girlie bedroom, and a huge closet brimming with beautiful clothing? Well that's what Matisse feels like! It helps that the owners are so nice, and being dancers they know what moves well on a person. Their items are original, and you can find wonderful items, from reasonable to splurge-worthy, but all in all, its a FAB place to spend some time, and some money too!
