Good But Not Great. The food is fairly good. The service is terrible.
Enh. Definitely not the best pad thai in portland, but if you're not willing to travel to Khun Pic's it'll do. Keep in mind that this place has built its reputation on its ability to throw chilis into its food and not actual culinary skills. Not okay with spicy thai food, stay away.…
best in portland bar none. having eaten at nearly twenty thai places in portland i have given up going any where else. shelly the chef....is a chef! there is not an item on the menue that does not blow the socks off of every thing else you have ever had elsewhere. the next best in PDX is a mere B as she composes rather than cooks each dish. she will remove something from the menue if the available ingredients are not up to par. nowhere else will you find dishes that astound you every time you dine there, each item has masterful mystery to it. the pad thai is smokey, the pad kee moa is red and complex rather than the brown weak gravies found elsewhere. you will rub your legs together like a cricket in delight at each bite. try her and you will wonder what is every one else trying to feed us and call it thai food! treat yourself to this on a first date and you will certainly get a second.…
Fantastic Food, Horrible Service. I no longer live in portland, but when i come to town this is one of my "must do's". The food is fantastic, but the lack of customer service has made it almost impossible to enjoy this restaurant. They have horrible hours and are closed FAR TOO OFTEN. Many times i have come to town to find that they are closed because they are on vacation, closed for remodel, or closed just to be closed. They are highly unreliable. However, on the off chance that u can actually get in...u will enjoy the food. Oh, and if u were thinking about getting an order to go...make sure that u check their jacked up policy on that too. U can only order to-go for 1 hour prior to the business opening, and if u hop on one foot in a circle for 32 seconds. Good luck, and happy eating.…
