Est. 1985- Portland's oldest independently owned wine shop with 750 international wines and 300 NW wines. Spend an entire Saturday here tasting over 85 of the Pinots available.

Best wine shop. This is of on e of my favorite shops in Portland. My son and his girlfriend introduced me to this wine shop and now it's a must stop whenever I am visiting. The selection is fabulous, including a great representation of local wineries to boutique french wines. The staff is friendly and knows their stuff, and have never steered me wrong. The tastings are innovative - and I cannot say enough great things about this place - except for, check it out - you'll love it!

WONDERFUL WINE AND SERVICE. Great Wine Buys has an impressive selection of Northwest wines (even ones that are hard to find elsewhere, like Owen Roe) as well as fabulous picks from Europe. Tastings during the weekends are quite fun and informative. The owner is such a nice, witty guy and is patient enough to answer questions and offer genuine suggestions (instead of B.S. to make you buy more). Some wine shops have attitude that make me want to run the other way, but not here! I love this wine shop because of the service, selection, and value. I?ll definitely return for the case discounts!

great wines at reasonable price. Great place for reasonable priced wines with wide assortment of style. Low key joint with friendly unobtrusive

help. If your some kind of saks 5th hold my hand and notice me type go else where and be lied to.

Worst Customer Service Ever. Not once, not twice but three times I have entered this store without so much as an acknowledgement of my presents there. Now when I buy wine I buy good wine to send to my loved ones as gifts. I am willing to drop some cash but alas these people are so unhelpful that I have yet to spend a dime there and plan on never stepping foot in there again. I gave it THREE chances, it failed.
