Don't waste your time!. I found the prices here to be way out of line with other stores in the area and the owner is very rude. Avoid at all costs!

Mid-century modern with more than a little kitsch on the side.. Campy Cool
This three-room store located along a quasi-industrial strip of Sandy is a treasure trove of retro and classic designs. From the moment you walk in the fur-covered door and catch a glimpse of velvet paintings of the Last Supper, you know this isn't your typical furniture store. No, Gilgemesh looks more like the set for a John Water's film--campy and crazy, but utterly cool.

In the words of owner William Hicks, it's just got to have "zing" for him to purchase it for the store. Zingy offerings include chrome dinettes in a wide range of colors, sizes and conditions and lovingly cared for velvet couches and wood dressers. Most pieces are from the '40s and '50s, though the '60s are represented as well--particularly "space-age" samplings. If you're looking for name brands, Knoll, Herman Miller and Eames are among the designers featured.
