When I was searching for an Athletic Club in Portland, I initially looked at the some of the chain clubs in the area. However, I found the clubs to be overcrowded and the staff impersonal among their members. Like the response below, I work until 5pm every weekday. Contrary to that response, when I arrived at Lloyd Athletic Club after work, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff and was on a tour of the club before I could finish reading the extensive class schedule. Just minutes into the tour, I realized this was the club for me. The club is clean, up to date, and most importantly very personable. Since I’ve joined, I have found that the club is even more motivational than I could have imagined. The staff, members, and fabulous FREE classes keep me coming back every day!

I have several friends who have said nothing but great things about this place, so on their advice my girlfriend and I decided to chat with someone about signing up. However as another review pointed out, due the incredibly inconvenient sign up hours this has been a task. The club makes it a bit hard for you to give them your business. On several different occasions I was told that "a guest pass" would be left for me so that I could go try it out and look around. Each time I arrived I found that nobody at the front desk knew what I was talking about. Instead of trying to help me the staff at the front desk acted as if I was trying to "pull one over one". So I would again have to agree with an earlier review and say that the staff are continually ill informed. Which leads me to ask the question- do you actually want my business Lloyd Athletic Club?
